To see where I have come from to where I am now is truly an eye opening experience. It only took me 52 years to realize that I not only can take care of myself emotionally & physically I am fully capable of taking care of myself financially as well. I was a product of the 70’s where the men went to work and the women stayed home at least that’s what I thought.

I always dreamed that I would be “rescued “ when really all I wanted was to be taken care of, to take someone hostage & to never have aspirations of being self reliant, self sufficient or responsible. The knight in shining armor story was my favorite. I was convinced that mine was coming eventually…

Yet here I am selling 200k cars and I happen to be pretty damn good at it!! My 7th month & I’m #1 in the store & my best month yet!! I’m so grateful that someone saw enough potential in me to give me this opportunity to shine ✨!! Usually people in car sales start at Honda or Ford and get some experience but not me, I was determined to go right to the top 🔝 Mercedes Benz here I come!!

I have to include in this post the negative that comes with this type of job, the hours, the attitudes, the competition & the wasted time. The times I’ve kept my mouth shut when I’ve wanted to speak my mind, run away crying because my feelings were hurt, sneak out early, call in sick and not show up. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve wanted to quit, walk out , go back to what I know and give up.

But if there’s anything I’ve learned over the past 8 1/2 years of being a sober member of society it’s that you gotta take the risk, take the good with the bad, roll with the punches. Keep getting up, learning more, being better and most importantly mind my own business.

Everything will work itself out and probably better than you’d ever hoped or dreamed for.

So this is for you the one who is staying in your “comfort zone”waiting for someone to “rescue you” giving in to the “fear” that’s made up in your head.

Go for it, go be great, go surprise yourself & most of all go & be happy, happy with your life, happy with your decisions & happy with your progress no matter where you are.
