THE WORD
Speaker: Elder V. U. Akpan
Interpreter: Helper Essien Bassey
Topic: An Evil Man
Text: Ecclesiastes 8:12
FOCUS
Ecclesiastes 8:12 says
Though a sinner does evil a hundred times and still lives a long time, yet I know that it will be well with those who fear God, who are reverent before him.
This verse highlights the contrast between the wicked and the righteous. Despite the apparent prosperity of evil people, true well-being and blessing belong to those who fear and reverence God. It encourages trust in God's sovereignty and justice, even when circumstances seem unjust.
It also acknowledges the reality of evil and injustice in the world, but it also affirms that God's favor and blessing are reserved for those who reverence and fear Him. It encourages believers to prioritize their relationship with God and live in reverence of Him, rather than being swayed by the apparent successes of the wicked.
CONCLUSION
This verse encourages believers to trust in God's sovereignty, prioritize their relationship with Him, and live with reverence and obedience, even in the face of uncertainty and apparent injustice.
As the seasons of life unfold, remember that God's justice and favor are not bound by human timelines, Hold fast to reverence and righteousness..
