Not many know which design highlight the Island of Ios is hiding... Up on the hill Liostasi Hotel & Suites is unfolding a designer boutique landscape with a Homer signed curved shaped pool, open air lounges with amazing Ios panoramic views and a selection of art on the top.

To top the view - Liostasi holds a hidden gourmet secret, too: Lefteris Lazarou, the first chef cook in allover Greece which brought a Michelin Star to the country, known well with his own Gourmet Temple Varoulko and from the famous Master Chef Cook Show, set culinary sails in delivering high up in the sky-cuisine with excellent seafood and fish degustation menu to the tiger-black-suited restaurant tables....

Important information to Paros, english below!

Auf Paros soll der Commercial Port von Parikia auf die Ostseite verlegt werden - und zwar nach Kaminaki, bei Piso Livadi!
On Paros, the Commercial Port of Parikia is to be relocated to the east side - after Kaminaki, at Piso Livadi!

Die Fürsprecher sind alle Residents von der Region Parikia. Sie wollen die Tankschiffe aus ihrer Bucht los sein. Dagegen sind so ziemlich alle Einwohner zwischen Naoussa und Drios;-)
Für das Meer an der Ostküste, va die Küstenregion (NATURA Naturschutzzone), wo wir alle schnorcheln, bedeutet das nix Gutes.
Für die Einwohner bedeutet das: eine Vervielfachung des Verkehrs als Zu- und Ablieferung zum neuen Hafen. Es geht um die grossen Trucks, Müllentsorgung, Baustoff- und Öl-/Diesel/Brennstoff-Anlieferung etc - alles würde über die kleine Bucht zwischen Molos und Piso Livadi erfolgen und von hier aus über die ganze Insel verteilt werden - das Meiste geht eh nach Parikia. Die Strasse Marpisa - Naoussa wäre also voll mit Schwertransport /Trucks.

Ich vermute den Hintergrund, neben einer Entlastung des Hafens durch erhöhte Fährenaufkommen, darin, dass dies in Zusammenhang mit den geplanten Windrädern an der Ostseite steht. Wie üblich machen die Windparkbetreiber Investitions-Offerten an die Gemeinde; hier werden sie der Gemeinde vermutlich ein Investitions-Angebot für den Bau des Commercial Port gemacht haben. Ist nur logisch - der kürzeste Weg von den künftigen Windradstandorten zum Wasser (Transport der riesigen Aufbauten) ist natürlich auf der Ostseite. Sie sparen sich damit etliche Kilometer Strassenverbreiterung - Bedingung der Gemeinde an die Windparkunternehmen, um das bei der Bevölkerung durchsetzen zu können.

Ich denke, es wäre gut, wenn wir diese Nein-Petition unterzeichnen... Das ist jetzt die einzige Möglichkeit, um ein Nein zu erreichen! Macht mit, je mehr desto grösser die Chance, diese (Natur-) Katastrophe abzuwenden! danke, Carolyn

The advocates are all residents of the Parikia region. They want to get rid of the tankers from their bay. The people on the east coast are against it, most of them..
For the sea on the east coast, especially the coastal region (NATURA Conservation Zone), where we all snorkel, that means nothing good.
For the inhabitants this means: a multiplication of traffic as upload and delivery to the new port. It's about the big trucks, garbage disposal, building material and oil / diesel / fuel delivery etc - everything would be done over the small bay between Molos and Piso Livadi and be distributed from here over the whole island - the most goes anyway back to Parikia. The road Marpisa - Naoussa would be full of heavy transport / trucks.
I suspect the background, in addition to a relief of the port by increased ferry traffic, in that this is related to the planned wind turbines on the east side. As usual, the wind farm operators make investment offers to the community; Here they will probably have made an investment offer to the municipality for the construction of the Commercial Port. Is only logical - the shortest way from the future wind turbine sites to the water (transport of huge structures) is of course on the east side. You save yourself a few kilometers of road widening - condition of the community to the wind farm companies in order to enforce this among the population.

I think it would be good if we sign this no-petition ... That's the only way to reach a no! Join in, the more the greater the chance to avert this (natural) catastrophe! thanks, Carolyn
