ISO-CERTIFIED PA RIN!

Nitong December 6, sumalang ang OVP sa mga audit sessions para sa ISO 9001:2015 recertification, kasama ang dalawang Satellite Offices sa unang pagkakataon—ang Davao at Panay & Negros Islands Offices.

Unang na-certify ang OVP para sa Quality Management System (QMS) noong 2017 at na-recertify muli noong 2020. Last year, sumailalim sa surveillance audit ang OVP. Ito ay upang matiyak at kumpirmahin na ang OVP ay tumutupad pa rin sa mga pamantayang ginawa nito noong una itong nakatanggap ng ISO certification.

Ngayong 2023, iginawad muli ng mga auditor mula sa TUV Rheinland ang recertification sa OVP para sa susunod na tatlong taon. Kasama na rito ang certification ng Davao at Panay & Negros Islands Satellite Offices.

Ang ISO certification ay iginagawad sa mga organisasyong nagpapamalas ng kakayahan sa pagbibigay serbisyo na may magandang kalidad at sumusunod sa mga batas at regulasyon ng pamahalaan.

Isa itong marka ng dedikasyon ng OVP sa pagbigay ng makabuluhang at mahusay na serbisyo—para sa Diyos, Bayan, at Bawat Pamilyang Pilipino.

Maraming, maraming salamat sa lahat ng naging bahagi ng yugtong ito.

Ang tagumpay ng Opisina ay tagumpay nating lahat!

The other day I wept on the shoulder of my lawyer and dear friend, Cherry. And I did because the full weight of the injustice and the oppression committed against me bore down on me and it was more than I could take at the moment.

I also wept on her shoulder because Cherry is a warrior and she could hold me up steadily. I told her, “Ganito pala pakiramdam ng naaapi.” and I went on about how, in the greater scheme of things, what I was going through was nothing compared to what others go through like her other client–a single mom with a young child- who is in jail for trumped up charges.

And she, very wisely said, “No. It is the same. Oppression is oppression in whatever form or shape. This is why we must fight it.”

So this is what I give you today.

Oppression is oppression in whatever form or shape.
This is why we must fight it.

We get the government we deserve.

And if we remain silent, if we don’t push back because the powerful boot is on our faces, then we deserve the petty tyrants who will, no doubt, run amuck and eat our children whole.

Never before have I valued my rights and my personal freedoms like I do now that they have been taken away from me unjustly. Never before have I despised oppression down to the deepest depths of my soul than I do now that I am on the receiving end of the grave abuse of powers by the most powerful on an ordinary citizen.

But I am standing tall-and so is Ka Eric because we have great faith in the Filipino people. This is not empty rhetoric. I saw the wondrous miracle of how we, as a people, brought the CPP NPA NDF down on its knees.

They are trying to get back on their feet–aided, in no small measure by Congress whom they have cunningly manipulated into going against the people and agreeing to be their shield.

We will no longer allow this betrayal.
My stomach is empty but my heart is full of faith and great courage. You know why?

Simple.
