Christmas vacation in the mountains❄️

Andrew and I went snowshoeing by Cheakamus River in Whistler and stopped to see the Train Wreck from 1956. This was so cool to see and the backdrop was stunning with the snow, highly recommend.

100% in the Christmas spirit these days!🎄 Andrew and I spent the day at the Christmas market yesterday to make full use of our seasons passes! If your heading there this year some of our favourites:
🎄The Hungarian Langos, do it you will love it! We wait all year for it. Looks sort of basic but I promise it’s incredible
🎄The bratwurst is temping but get the farmer sausage hotdog with sauerkraut it’s 10/10!🌭
🎄Also, can’t forget the mulled wine! A Christmas Market staple! It tasted even better this year.
🎄One or my personal favourites is the potato tornado, that’s what I call it but can’t remember the real name, either way, you’ll know it when you see it! Pleasing to look at and tastes incredible. I always go for the sour cream and onion.
🎄Lastly, finish off with the inside out cinnamon bun pancake with cream cheese icing.. do I need to even describe this one?

Miami Dislikes:
- Nothing surprising here: the humidity. 😅 this hair ain’t built for the moisture and let me tell you it will torrential downpour without notice ruining any chance of a half decent hairstyle so I just had to accept my hair wasn’t gonna look cute. And also add in some wind.. it is very, very windy. 💨

First day in Miami: Had to start off with Kim Kardashian’s favourite restaurant Carbone. The lobster ravioli and the meatballs were supreme.

Also the La Sandwicherie was unbelievable and a must try.

My hair hates the humidity which I expected and all the protein treats I bought at Whole Foods were disgusting and huge fails.

It’s barely September and I’ve already declared it the start of soup season🍜

I got so tired of spending $10 for a bag of Thai coconut soup that barely filled me up and lacked protein so I made this my first cooking project of the month. If your like me and can barely cook.. that means you can make this recipe! Lots of ingredients but super simple and the best thing about soup it’s hard to screw up. This is how I made mine but add or substract veggies/protein as you like.

✨Thai Coconut Soup Recipe✨

🥥Ingredients:
2 tablespoon coconut oil
1 onion thickly sliced
1 jalapeño thickly sliced
2 pieces ginger (1/2 inch thick)
1 lemongrass stalk
3 teaspoons red Thai curry paste
4 cups chicken broth
3 cans (400ml each) coconut milk
2 - 3 Chicken breasts
1 block tofu
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1.5 cups chopped carrots
1 small zucchini, chopped
1 tablespoon sugar or sugar substitute
2 tablespoons fish sauce
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
Chopped Green onions for garnish/ preference

👩🏻‍🍳Method:

1.) Cook chicken breasts as you like and set aside. In a frying pan add 1 tbsp coconut oil and when hot add carrots and cook for 3-5 minutes. Add red bell pepper and zucchini and cook until slightly soft, about 5 minutes. Set aside.

2.) Heat coconut oil in a large pot over medium heat and add onion, garlic, jalapeño, ginger, lemongrass and cook (stirring frequently) until onions soften (about 5 minutes).

3.) Add Chicken broth and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 25 minutes.

4.) Strain out all the ingredients (onion, garlic, jalapeño, ginger and lemongrass) and discard. Add the coconut milk, chicken, tofu, carrots, red bell pepper and zucchini. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add fish sauce, sugar or sugar substitute, lime juice. Cook for another 5 minutes. Add salt to taste.

5.) Add to bowl and top with fresh sliced green onions.

Vacations that feed your soul💙

Biking Naramata was such a highlight! Although challenging, it was absolutely worth it. Wine tastings and lunch on the way down was so rewarding and the KVR trail makes you feel like your in Europe! Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area this summer.

This is literally a game changing product if you have any type of redness on your face. This creates the perfect neutral base for my makeup and I swear my skin looked flawless when I finish my makeup, I can’t even believe it! I have a little bit of psoriasis on my hair line and it covered it completely!

✨ Niacinamide Dew Drops
The smell of this is 🤤😍 and the way it makes my skin radiant is incredible. I’ve used it as a serum, priming base for makeup and most recently in this photo mixed it with my matte Fit Me Foundation for the perfect dewy finish.

Tiktok made me buy this and wow was it ever right!! I really didn’t think it would be any different than other setting powders but it is!! Absolutely worth it! It has become a game changer in my flawless base makeup routine!
