Top cryptocurrency prices today: Bitcoin, Ethereum slip; Cardano zooms 7%
New Delhi: Crypto prices dipped on Tuesday, following a national holiday in the US, and showed few signs of reversing any time soon. Barring Cardano, all other altcoins fell in tandem with the numero uno digital token.Bitcoin was holding above the $42,000 mark whereas Ethereum slipped below $3,200 levels. The trading volumes remained tepid during the early trade. Trading was light as investors looked for signs that Bitcoin's downward spiral has reached an endpoint.

Barring Cardano and dollar-pegged Tether, all other eight out of top-10 digital tokens were trading lower during the early trade on Tuesday. Cardano zoomed over 7 per cent although Terra tanked over 10 per cent.

Top cryptocurrency prices today: Bitcoin, Ethereum gain; Cardano zooms 12%
New Delhi: After some decent gains, the cryptocurrency market took a breather as major crypto tokens were trading flat. Trading was light as investors looked for signs that Bitcoin's downward spiral has reached an endpoint and that the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization is ready to enter a new bull cycle.Barring Solana and Polkadot, all other eight out of the top-10 digital tokens were trading with a positive bias during the early trade on Monday. Cardano, meanwhile, zoomed over 12 per cent to become the fifth largest token by market cap.

The global crypto market cap was largely unchanged at $2.07 trillion compared to the last day.

Cryptocurrency Prices Today: Market dips marginally even as Bitcoin, Ethereum dip
The global cryptocurrency market-capitalisation dipped by 0.12 percent over the last 24 hours to $2.06 trillion, while the trading volume also tumbled by 27.12 percent to $61.66 billion as of January 16.

While decentralised finance (DeFi) accounted for 16.08 percent of the trading volume at $9.92 billion, stablecoins made up 78.10 percent at $48.16 billion. Bitcoin's market dominance dipped 0.06 percent to 39.55 percent and it was trading at $42,990.42 today morning.

Cryptocurrency prices on December 28: Bitcoin, Ethereum trade in red; Litecoin up 2%
The global crypto market capitalisation on December 28 declined to $2.34 trillion from $2.39 trillion during the last 24 hours while the trading volume jumped to $86.55 billion from $75.03 billion on December 27.

The market cap of Stablecoins slipped by 0.06 percent in the last 24 hours to $ 162.25 billion. Stablecoins are a type of cryptocurrency which has its value tied to an outside asset - such as the US dollar or any other fiat currency or gold - to stabilise the price.

The global crypto market capitalisation on December 28 declined to $2.34 trillion from $2.39 trillion during the last 24 hours while the trading volume jumped to $86.55 billion from $75.03 billion on December 27.

The market cap of Stablecoins slipped by 0.06 percent in the last 24 hours to $ 162.25 billion. Stablecoins are a type of cryptocurrency which has its value tied to an outside asset - such as the US dollar or any other fiat currency or gold - to stabilise the price.

As for major cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin slipped 1.43 percent to trade at Rs 40,12,726 while Ethereum declined 0.78 percent at Rs 3,20,560. Cardano climbed 1.68 percent to Rs 116.8443.

Avalanche slipped 1.19 percent to Rs 9,182.968, while Litecoin dropped 2.03 percent to 12,378

Top cryptocurrency prices today: Terra bleeds 9%, Bitcoin, Ethereum follow with 4% drop
NEW DELHI: Cryptocurrency counters bled on Tuesday as they saw profit booking after buying seen in the previous session. A lot of money moving towards equities might also have impacted cryptocurrencies.
n dollar terms, in the top 10 tokens, Terra was the biggest loser, down nearly 9 per cent. Bitcoin fell about 4 per cent while Ether was down 4 per cent as well. Polkadot and Solana were also among the major losers.Even in rupee terms, almost all cryptocurrencies were trading with cuts, showed data available at WazirX. Shiba Inu, Bitcoin, Dogecoin and Polkadot were among theories that were down up to 5 per cent.

Cryptocurrency Prices today on December 16: Market goes green as Terra, Bitcoin, Dogecoin rise
The global crypto market capitalisation surged by 3.80 percent over the last 24 hours to stand at $2.26 trillion. Bitcoin, currently trading at $49,086.91 saw a fall in its market dominance by about 0.60 percent over the last day to stand at 41.00 percent.

The total cryptocurrency trading volume over the last 24 hours was $115.42 billion, falling by 98.85 percent. While DeFi ($14.13 billion) accounted for 12.24 percent of the total crypto volume, stablecoins ($91.40billion) made for 79.19 percent of the crypto market's 24-hour market volume.

Top cryptocurrency prices today: Avalanche, Solana, Bitcoin zoom up to 16%
New Delhi: The cryptocurrency market was back in the green zone on Thursday as the appetite for riskier assets improved after Federal Reserve's comments.
Barring the dollar pegged stablecoins, all other eight out of the top 10 digital tokens were trading higher at 9.30 IST. Avalanche zoomed 16 per cent to make its way in the top 10 tokens, whereas Solana rallied 11 per cent.
The global crypto market cap gained more than 3 per cent to $2.37 trillion mark compared to the last day. However, the total crypto market volume rallied more than 25 per cent to $131 trillion.

Union cabinet likely to discuss Cryptocurrency Bill today

NEW DELHI: The Union cabinet is likely to discuss "The Cryptocurrency and Regulation of Official Digital Currency Bill, 2021" at today's meeting. The meeting is scheduled to take place at 1 pm, sources said. The Union finance ministry on Tuesday had informed the Lok Sabha that a Bill on cryptocurrency is under final consideration of the Cabinet

The Union government had earlier decided to table the Bill in the Winter Session of Parliament and, sources stated, it may later be referred to the Standing Committee for further deliberations.

Cryptocurrency bill not on today's cabinet meeting agenda

The cryptocurrency bill is not on the agenda of the cabinet that meets on December 15, sources have said, an indication that the much-awaited piece of legislation may not be taken up by Parliament during the ongoing winter session that concludes on December 23.

The bill also doesn’t find any mention on the agenda of both houses of Parliament as well. The bill is still in the works and will not be up discussed by Parliament on December 15 as the government is still finalising the regulatory provisions, CNBC-TV18 has said.

Cryptocurrency prices today surged with Bitcoin trading at $48,089.82, a 2.6% increase in the last 24 hours. Ethereum surged marginally to $3,838.45, a 1.3% increase in the last 24 hours.
Dogecoin went up 15.5% at $0.181994 in the last 24 hours, after Tesla Inc chief Elon Musk said on Tuesday the electric carmaker will accept Dogecoin as payment for merchandise on a test basis, sending the meme-based cryptocurrency up over 20%. Dogecoin, popular among retail investors, raced up to $0.20 after the tweet.

Like many others, I view last week’s House Financial Services Committee hearing at which six crypto CEOs explained the industry to Congress as a watershed moment for the industry in the United States.

The dialogue was collegial and constructive, and felt grounded in a genuine desire to speak with each other rather than past each other. The discourse dispelled a number of myths, including the mistaken belief that crypto is currently unregulated.

Brazil’s only stock exchange, B3, plans to enter the crypto market in 2022, InfoMoney reported, citing a Dec. 10 presentation from B3 President Gilson Finkelsztain.

B3 is exploring opportunities in the asset tokenization, digital asset custody and crypto-as-a-service (CaaS) segments, InfoMoney reported.
The San Pablo-based stock exchange is also considering services to facilitate over-the-counter (OTC) trading and access to liquidity centers.

New Delhi: The cryptocurrency market extended its losses on Tuesday ahead of the much-awaited US Fed meeting as investors sought signals for tapering and rate hikes.
As many as six out of the top 10 digital tokens were trading lower at 9.30 IST. Terra and Polkadot were holding mild gains whereas Cardano shed 6 per cent.

The global crypto market cap declined more than 5 per cent to $2.13 trillion mark compared to the last day. However, the total crypto market volume soared as much as 38 per cent to $97.03 billion.

We have seen around 35,000 users buying Shiba Inu recently, which accounts for a 385% increase in Shiba Inu investors. Also, the Shiba Inu INR markets saw 5x increase in exchange volume," said Shivam Thakral, chief executive at cryptocurrency exchange BuyUcoin. BuyUcoin users have invested $58 million in Shiba Inu since the beginning of the current rally.

In all, trading volumes were pegged at about $600 million across platforms in India, said industry trackers.
