You gotta love the hustle. This year was a practice of learning how to go for it, but also learning that success might not look like you initially thought it would. I’m so excited for what’s to come.

Today is International Boss’s Day! And while I don’t have any employees, I couldn’t miss out on the fun.

It’s been a full year since starting MiddleList, and honestly, I still can’t believe I’ve accomplished what I set out to do.

There were several months when I was ready to throw in the towel. I was juggling side jobs and hustles, losing sight of the life I truly wanted.

It wasn’t until I was hired by my current client who saw the potential in me—and in MiddleList—and I started truly believing in my company again.

I once walked into an art studio and saw a beautiful painting with a giant tear down the middle. The artist couldn’t stand to look at it anymore, so he destroyed it. But to me, it could’ve been a masterpiece if not for the gash. I would’ve loved to hang it in my home.

We often let our own perfectionism stop us from finishing what we’re meant to do. We forget that what we see as incomplete might be a gift to someone else.

So, edit, pivot, pull things apart and put them back together—but don’t quit.
