in Flam observing the stunning landscape of the Aurlandsfjord 🇳🇴

UNESCO World Heritage, it is a branch of Sognefjord, one of the longest and deepest fjord in the world (205km long and 1.3km deep)

high mountains 🏔️ still covered in snow ❄️ raise straight up from the sea level

it is simply a place to visit at least once in a lifetime 🤩

from one of the last lanes we have ridden last year in the Bosnian 🇧🇦 TET before getting to Mostar.

funny enough this calm was suddenly interrupted when a couple of shepherd’s dogs 🐶 started to run towards us (I think one followed me for a good mile 🤣).

another (in)famous must see in Sarajevo is the abandoned bobsleigh track built for the 1984 Winter Olympics

the war did not spare the structures which are now ruins covered with incredible street art

during the trip last year we stopped in Bosnia 🇧🇦 Sarajevo

this is a country of a recent but far history of war which can be still felt after all these years

really hope something like this will not happen again there

Durmitor in Montenegro 🇲🇪 one of the must go for any rider passing through the country

I recommend passing the night in one of the (cheap) campings nearby, colourful experience with lots of food and a nice shower with boiled hot water 😅

before reaching Durmitor we stopped at Kapetanovo Jezero: a lake on a stunning upland in Montenegro 🇲🇪

the road to get there was not easy, especially with fatigue accumulating after so many days (a couple of falls were added to the list 😅)

however the ride was incredibly rewarding as so the beer we got to a small “bar” put together by the few people living there in the summer

if you can get there, do so!

change of country, but same stunning scenery that characterises the Balkans region

here I was riding in Montenegro 🇲🇪 just north-east of the capital Podgorica, with

less famous than Durmitor, this mountains along the border with Albania are one of the best places I have ever ridden: at ~2000m surrounded by nature and a few shepherd house (very interesting people up there 🤣)

at the end of one of the most spectacular and tiring lane I have ever done.

saying that we risked sleeping without a roof is probably underestimating it.

however was a lot of fun to share those moments (and falls) with

“lure, no problem!”
