Gobi Desert Documentary in Urdu – Hindi – This documentary tells about how China is dealing with the expansion of Gobi Desert. Will the Great Green Wall help China to win the fight against desertification?

Watch this video on YouTube: https://bit.ly/32keTDX

The Gobi is Asia’s 5th largest desert. It is also the coldest and fastest-growing desert in the world. It has already covered 27.4 percent land of China and affected more than 400 million people. Now it is affecting urban life as well. As some of the biggest sandstorms turned Beijing skies yellow during this decade. These dust storms caused the hazardous air pollution ranking for Beijing.

However, China is fighting with Gobi Desert expansion by using useful methods to convert desert into productive lands rich with crops and tree plantation. For this, China initiated the Great Green Wall project in 1978 to fight desertification. In this project, millions of trees will be planted until 2050. Up till now, In 2021, China has done fairly enough to achieve its goal to turn the desert into green forests. But still, there is a question mark if the Great Green Wall can stop desertification in China?

The strange patterns on the Gobi Desert grabbed the attention of archeologists decades ago. Amazingly, scientists unearthed 80 million years old Dinosaur’s egg fossils. These nesting sites of Dinosaurs were discovered in the Mongolian Gobi Desert. Finding dinosaurs' bones remain in the Gobi Desert will help scientists to explore about the Jurassic world evolution. This is one of the mind-blowing facts about the Gobi Desert.

The Fertile Crescent! Where fertile means, land or soil capable to produce crops. And! Crescent means curved sickle-shaped moon. The whole term “Fertile Crescent” means a half-moon-shaped land capable of producing crops. Mesopotamia was also part of the Fertile Crescent.

On a map, the looks like a quarter and it covers many countries including , , , , , Israel, , , and . Few historians include as well.

Ancient Iraq ( ) and Egypt hold more significance than any other country. Because most of the oldest civilizations of the world lived in these two countries. , , lived in Mesopotamian Iraq and the ancient Egyptian civilization survived on the banks of . This is why this region is also known as the Cradle of Civilizations.

Fertile Crescent has vast meaning. The of this crescent is not just about the land, but it also refers to the richness of the innovative ideas of the people who lived in this region. This area was the birthplace of various technological innovations like the potter’s wheel, the first agricultural system, the first system, , , and much more.

This whole area of fertile crescent contained fertile soil. River Nile, , and supplied the productive freshwaters to brackish wetlands. These produced plenty of wild edible species.

The term Fertile Crescent was coined by an American archeologist James Henry Breasted in one of his books “Ancient Times a History of Early World” in 1914.

Sadly, the Fertile Crescent is not so fertile today. Few years ago, some large-scale irrigation projects diverted water away from the famous Mesopotamian marshes of the Tigris-Euphrates river system, causing them to dry up.
