Just a couple weebs talking about a couple of our favorite subjects, Anime, Manga, and Nerd Culture. We often find ourselves reminiscing of the time we were once kids staying up way past our curfew to catch the latest episode of our favorite anime, all while monching on some late night snacks. We hope you sit back and crack a cold one with us.

Let's meet the main cast of Carole and Tuesday!

Tuesday is a gentle and considerate person, but can sometimes act impulsively. She self-deprecatingly calls herself an airhead after reflecting on what she admires about Carole. Despite her timid and reserved demeanor, she is the complete opposite of her bold and sociable musical partner. Her sheltered upbringing in a wealthy home has left her with a lack of experience in casual conversation and socializing, leading to others taking advantage of her easily and her being easily frightened.

Tuesday has a hidden intense and aggressive side, which only surfaces in extreme situations, such as when Ertegun insulted her music. In response, she started a fire in a fit of rage. Afterward, she felt remorseful but was comforted by Carole. Tuesday experiences guilt even for small mistakes.

Carole is generally warm, welcoming, and patient, which has helped her form a close bond with Tuesday. Despite her sociable and lively personality, she doesn't appear to have many friends, if any, which is surprising.

Carole is driven, enthusiastic, and quick-thinking. Despite her musical talent, she struggles to maintain a part-time job due to her straightforward approach to dealing with conflict and delicate situations. Growing up as an orphan has made her self-reliant and wary of relying on others. Before meeting Tuesday, she felt that no one truly understood her. Tuesday correctly understood her feelings of loneliness in their first song, indicating a mask of happiness Carole often wears. Her tough upbringing has turned her into a tough and resolute young woman, and she acts like a big sister to Tuesday.

Angela presents herself as a sweet and friendly individual, carefully maintaining a positive public image. However, behind closed doors, she reveals herself to be bossy, short-tempered, arrogant, and egocentric, often losing her temper over minor issues, which may stem from the pressure of being in the media industry. She will go to great lengths to achieve her goals and expects everyone around her to cater to her needs. Despite her actions being driven by the desire to please her audience, Angela longs for her mother's acceptance and seems genuinely happy and smiles when her debut song is well received.

Initially, Angela was rude and distant towards Carole and Tuesday when they first met, which may have been fueled by jealousy towards their friendship. Growing up in isolation, she never learned how to form meaningful relationships, leading to her current personality issues. Throughout the series, Angela experiences personal growth and matures as she faces numerous challenges.

Fifty years have passed since humanity embarked on a journey to the new frontier, Mars. It is an era where AI produces most of the cultural content, and people have become passive consumers.

In the bustling city of Alba, a young girl named Carole is working part-time to make ends meet while pursuing her dream of becoming a musician. Despite her best efforts, she always feels as if something is missing in her life.

In the more rural Herschel City, another girl named Tuesday was born into wealth but dreams of a career in music. She feels like the loneliest person in the world, as nobody around her seems to understand her passion.

Their paths cross by chance, and they find solace in each other's shared love of music. Together, they believe they can create something beautiful and meaningful. Their combined efforts may only make a small impact, but they hope it will grow into something greater in time.

Written and illustrated by Boichi (Dr Stone). The plot tells the story of Ken, a high school delinquent turned down by the girl he loved, who promptly left Japan to become a police officer in Korea. Ken dropped out of high school to travel to Korea and become an officer. Though Ken managed to travel to Korea, he found himself unable to become an officer and instead became a poor shut-in with no money or job. After saving an old man from being abused by a group gang members, he was scouted by the head of a local gang led by Tae-Soo Park, who made him the new boss.

Have you ever been super intro a series reading it consistently then all the sudden you kinda just forget about? Sun-Ken Rock was a manga I started very early on in my "manga renaissance" phase which captivated me into reading more manga in general. Unfortunately the lack of not having it available on an app shelved it to the back log. Def need to pick it back up soon.

📖Choujin X - Action / Seinen

Azuma Higashi (東アズマ, Higashi Azuma) has great fighting skills as well as a strong sense of justice, and also always gets good grades in his class. His friend Tokio Kurohara (黒原トキオ, Kurohara Tokio) is the complete opposite of Azuma: he does not listen in class, and is a bystander when Azuma fights. Different as they might be, their bond is very strong nevertheless. They live in Yamato Prefecture, where the district has almost been destroyed by Choujins, humans with supernatural abilities. When the two are returning home, they encounter a Choujin who threatens to kill them. With no other way of escaping, the two decided to become Choujins themselves.

Dragon Ball- Re-reading this at a much later age has been an absolute delight. I say that because as I flick
through the pages and panels of Dragon Ball I cant help but smile and laugh at Akira
Toriyama's design and world building. Characters feel flamboyant and yet so real, Bulma in
paritcualr with her many first encounters with the cast are so memorable. Another facet that makes
these early pages of Dragon Ball so unique is how Toriyama creates machines, vehicles, and
the whole capsule system. The contraptions feel so amazing to look at, such a bombastic yet
seemingly possible design. Popping out a whole apartment from a M capsule makes so much
sense in a world that makes so little sence. Dragons, Pigs, dinosaurs, that speak and some even
transform! Then we have adorable Son Goku, the stand out MC, ignorant and innocent of the world.
Reading and watching Son Goku as he journeys through the world of Dragon Ball is a little slice of heaven. Do I believe the original Dragon Ball is a must read/watch to be an overall DB fan? No I do not as there are many great entry points into the series, but I
highly suggest it as it makes the universe much more alive.

Vinland Saga is initially set mostly in 1013 AD England, which has been mostly conquered by the Danish King Sweyn Forkbeard. As King Sweyn nears death, his sons, Prince Harald and Prince Canute, are arguing over his succession. The story draws elements from historical accounts of the period such as The Flateyjarbók, The Saga of the Greenlanders and The Saga of Eric the Red.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is an upcoming anime series and spin-off of Cyberpunk 2077 created by Studio Trigger for Netflix. Containing 10 episodes, it will premiere in September 2022.

Berserk (Japanese: ベルセルク, Hepburn: Beruseruku) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kentaro Miura. Set in a medieval Europe-inspired dark fantasy world, the story centers on the characters of Guts, a lone mercenary, and Griffith, the leader of a mercenary band called the "Band of the Hawk". Miura premiered a prototype of Berserk in 1988. The series began the following year in the Hakusensha's now-defunct magazine Monthly Animal House, which was replaced in 1992 by the semimonthly magazine Young Animal, where Berserk has continued its publication intermittently. Following Miura's death in May 2021, the final chapter that he wrote and illustrated was published posthumously. The series is set to resume publication in June 2022, under supervision of Miura's fellow manga artist and childhood friend Kouji Mori [ja] and Miura's group of assistants and apprentices from Studio Gaga.
