We’re back!! Missed you guys!

Yes, 2021 hasn’t kicked off as we hoped it would, but just like 2020 we’ll get through this year together too.

Hey chums,

This will be my last live stream of 2020… What a journey we’ve been on. There have been highs and lows - such is the bipolar life.

Today I want to discuss coping mechanisms to help us through this festive season.

I also want to ask you two very important things:

- What lesson have you learnt in 2020 which you’ll be taking forward with you in 2021?

- This year has been hellish, but that doesn’t mean that it didn’t have its moments of joy, love and hope, and it doesn’t mean a memory we’ll treasure didn’t occur. So, I want to know what you’ll treasure from 2020?

You’re all going to be a memory I treasure from 2020. Thank you for your love and support, you’ve helped me as much as I hope I’ve brought you comfort.

Stay strong, remember how resilient you are and I can’t wait to see you in 2021.

All my love,
April x

This week we’re discussing RAPID CYCLING.

I don’t want to brag guys… But I’m actually an expert in this.

I want to know if there are any other expert rapid cyclers out there.

We’ll discuss what it means and how you can help yourself cope with it.

Lots of love,April x

My wonders,

I hope you’re keeping well and warm as we race towards December!

“I think I might have bipolar”

Who has said this? Whether you’re now diagnosed or still going through the process of a diagnosis?

Today I want to hear from those that had this thought and were right - perhaps you can share some advice with those who are questioning it now.

I’ll be here to answer any questions you might have and hopefully bring you some words of comfort.

Lots of love,April x

Good morning, good afternoon and good evening… ‘cause what is time anymore, AMIRIGHT?

This week's we are celebrating PRIDE MONTH!!

Every year, during the month of June, the LGBT community celebrates in a number of different ways. Across the globe, various events are held during this special month as a way of recognising the influence LGBT people have had around the world. Why was June chosen? Because it is when the Stonewall Riots took place, way back in 1969.

Whether you’re a part of the community or an ally to it let’s hold our heads up high and be proud!

Take care of yourselves both physically and mentally.

Lots of love,April x

Sara talks about some of her experiences as a carer and offers some tips that she has learnt along the way. Whether you are a close friend, relative or neighbour for someone with bipolar, you are still a carer in some way, and what you do to support that person really matters.

We're fundraising for Bipolar UK 💙

https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/lets-talk-bipolar

𝟯 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗯𝗶𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗱𝗮𝘆. This desperately sad statistic needs to be brought down and we can only do that together, that's how we tackle each of our days - together.

Join us and do your own challenge. We propose this, to you all… walking 2.6 miles in someone else's shoes or, if that’s not possible, walking 2.6 miles with your shoes on the wrong feet - and then, of course, nominate others. Why?

“𝘽𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙟𝙪𝙙𝙜𝙚 𝙖 𝙢𝙖𝙣, (𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣)… 𝙬𝙖𝙡𝙠 𝙖 𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙚𝙨”

No donation is too small, but if you can’t donate, don’t worry - we have a lot going on right now… All we ask is you check in on your people, today, tomorrow and everyday.

Lots of love, stay safe and stay well

April & Sara ###

Take care of yourselves both physically and mentally. Stay home, stay safe, well and clean.

Lots of love,

Good morning, good afternoon and good evening… ‘cause what is time anymore, AMIRIGHT?

There’s no hiding it Troops, we’re living in scary, uncertain and wildly unprecedented times where our mental health is being tested. I see it triggering even the most level-headed individuals, questioning the thoughts within their own minds which they would otherwise not care to question or have the time to do so.

So, that’s why we’ve created Lockdown with April & Bipolar UK. Every Wednesday I’ll be going live on Bipolar UK’s page!

I want this opportunity and this platform to be a safe space, I genuinely to hear from you, yes YOU… I want us to weather this storm together, no matter how rough it gets. This time every week will be used to share your worries and fears… I can’t promise I’ll have all the answers, but I can sure as hell promise you, I’ll be here to listen. This will also be a time to embrace hope, love and (although tricky grasp on some days) positivity.

I’m so thankful to have this Bipolar UK family and together I hope, even if only for a brief moment each week we can escape and not feel so alone.

Take care of yourselves both physically and mentally. Stay home, stay safe, well and clean. I’ll see you soon!

All my love,
April x
