NOW PLAYING ON ROTATION at www.RadioNOVAinternational.co THE EAGLES - LYIN' EYES
Written by band members Don Henley and Glenn Frey, with lead vocals by Frey, the song won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group and was nominated for Record Of The Year.
The title and idea for the song came when Glenn and Don were in their favorite Los Angeles bar restaurant, Dan Tana's which was frequented by many beautiful women and started talking about beautiful women who were cheating on their husbands.
They saw one particularly beautiful young woman with a fat much older wealthy man, and Frey said: "She can't even hide those lyin' eyes."
The song, written at a time when Frey and Henley were sharing a house in Trousdale, Beverly Hills, was completed in just two evenings.
The country flavoured track reached No.2 in the U.S., No.3 in Ireland, No.23 in the U.K. and was ranked No.5 in the RADIO NOVA LISTENERS ALL-TIME TOP 100 in October 1983. - LJ
BTW, this is the best quality audio and video for the song, despite someone mispelling the bands name...lol
