This NYE I'll be DJing for 6 hours. And if you know me with DJing, you know I don't take breaks. I was approached by The Gypsy owners with the pitch of throwing a NYE party based around Night At The Roxbury SNL skit / movie (1998). They asked what I thought about the idea, and I was like, "That is perfect; I'm down!"

The premise of the skit / movie is Ferrell and his screen brother Kattan are totally dimwitted characters. They want to own their own dance club, but really just want to get into the most coolest dance club in town called The Roxbury. Again, W. Ferrell and Kattan are silly and stupid.

This is the late 90's. So, there are styles from the 80's that came over into the 90's club scene. A lot of styles that gained popularity in the 90's club scene. This 6 hour set is going to be a multitude of club genres from both decades.

So, come dance (or attempt to like in the skits / movie) and just be goofy. B/c even if you have never danced in your life with no rhythm at all ... you will fit right in with the skit / movie. And you'll be a hit. We'll have a fun time.

Landed a NYE gig. More info to come once the establishment makes the official announcement. This is gonna be a good one. Themed party. I was asked which alias I wanted to be booked under. DJ Ellis D alias is being used.

2022 isn’t over yet, and it has been a great one. Already getting gigs for the 2023 calendar year.

Being professional and always present in the planning process is key.

Buying good gear is worth the investment. I’ve added a lot in the lighting / atmosphere setup in just the past few months. I get compliments on my setup every time I bring it out. Always keeping my mind open and looking for the next evolution for my mobile DJ business.

October is pretty well booked up bc I have multiple shows I’ve bought tickets for. Hit me up for a date in October though… I may be available.
