Singapore-Malaysia land border to reopen on April 1; no quarantine or testing for fully vaccinated travellers
From April 1, fully vaccinated travelers will be allowed to travel across the land border between Singapore and Malaysia without the need to undergo quarantining or testing, including pre-departure and on-arrival tests, leaders of both countries announced on Thursday (March 24).
This will apply to all categories of travellers and modes of transport via the land border.
Fully vaccinated travellers crossing the border will not be required to apply for entry approvals such as the Vaccinated Travel Pass.
All travellers including citizens, permanent residents and long-term pass holders, must complete their SG Arrival Card three days before arrival and motorists must ensure that their vehicles comply with emissions requirements in Singapore.

How to submit the SG Arrival Card with electronic Health Declaration ("SG Arrival Card")
Submission of The SG Arrival Card with electronic Health Declaration ("SG Arrival Card"), which is required of all travellers entering Singapore, is free of charge and takes about three to 10 minutes to complete.
These are the steps to submit the card.
1. Choose your preferred language at the top right corner of the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) website.
https://www.ica.gov.sg/enter-depart/entry_requirements/sg-arrival-card
2. For foreign visitors, fill in your personal particulars, including name, passport number, date of birth, nationality and place of residence. Singapore citizens, permanent residents and long-term pass holders will need to fill in only their identity card number.
3. All travellers will need to indicate their e-mail address, mobile number and date of arrival and the address at which they will be residing while in Singapore.
4. All travellers will have to complete a health declaration in which they will be asked to declare their travel history and whether they are experiencing Covid-19 symptoms.
5. Upload the QR code of your overseas digital vaccination certificate if you have one. Visitors can still submit the SG Arrival Card submission without this step but will have to show their vaccination certificate to ICA officers upon arrival when requested.
6. Upon successful submission, an acknowledgement e-mail will be sent to travellers.
The SG Arrival Card (SGAC) is an e-Service to facilitate the submission of personal information, trip details and health declaration by all travellers seeking entry into Singapore.

What's known so far about 'Deltacron'?
Will we need more booster shots?
Here's what experts say
The Singapore population currently has some degree of resistance against Covid-19, thanks to high levels of both infections and the recent administration of booster vaccinations, but this will not remain indefinitely, said infectious diseases expert Teo Yik Ying on Tuesday (March 15).
Professor Teo, who is dean of the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health at the National University of Singapore, said people may need multiple boosters, perhaps taken annually, or the country may see another outbreak or "recurrent waves" of Covid-19 in the future.
National Centre for Infectious Diseases executive director Leo Yee Sin said the authorities are looking closely at the local data to decide if additional booster shots are needed.
"I don't deny that while looking at all these data, the Ministry of Health may one day decide that it is time for us to provide another dose.

MIGRANT WORKERS
The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) will also streamline the safe management measures for migrant workers living in dormitories, to align with the latest measures for the community, MOH said.
In addition, up to 15,000 vaccinated migrant workers will be allowed to visit the community on weekdays, and up to 30,000 on weekends and public holidays, for up to 8 hours per visit.
This is an increase from the current quotas of 3,000 on weekdays, and 6,000 for weekends and public holidays, MOH said.
