Luke and Alex are joined by resident A’s fan Tom to revisit their pre-season picks as the second half of the season kicks off. Their conversation is wide ranging, with plenty of Tiger specifics throughout - but as the Tigers completed a pretty convincing sweep of the Twins over the weekend, they take the opportunity to explore some of the other storylines throughout.
Luke and Alex get together to discuss the season so far, Al Avila (both defending and insisting he be fired), and their impression of the draft.
Luke and Alex don't get together after an unplanned hiatus where day-jobs got in the way of getting together to talk Tigers. They each share their current take on the team in this very special episode of the Michigan and Trumbull podcast.
Luke and Alex got together on Saturday afternoon to dissect Al’s comments on the Friday night broadcast about the potential future nucleus on this team. While we recorded on Saturday, that means we didn’t have results of Saturday and Sunday’s games, OR the official news that Torkelson and Dingler would be promoted to Eerie - though we definitely talk about that move being imminent. Finally, the show wraps up with a spirited debate about the extra innings rule.
Luke and Alex chat through some of the early trade rumors and what players the Tigers might be interested in moving - and other teams might be interested in taking. They discuss the Fulmer and Turnbull injuries, take a look at the week ahead, and make their predictions for when Miggy’s 500th home run will come. Tracking Bold Statements: Alex - At the All-Star Break, the Tigers will be ahead of the White Sox in the AL Central standings. (Alex has already admitted is wrongness, but this will stay until it is officially untrue at the All-Star Break) Miggy 500 predictions: Luke - Wednesday, August 11th at Baltimore Alex - Tuesday, August 17th at Home against the Los Angeles Angels
The Tigers hot streak continues with a successful road trip that included a 2 home run game for Miggy and the Spencer Turnbull no-hitter. Luke and Alex get together to celebrate the good times from this look, look ahead to next week, and implore Marian Ilitch to ground her son.
After an unplanned hiatus, Luke and Alex get together to discuss the state of the team (6-4 over their last ten) and if this means they may have turned something of a corner and will be a little more watchable the rest of the year. They also spend some time on Albert Pujols and if the Tigers might ever do something like that to Miguel Cabrera.
Alex comes to you from Yankee Stadium ahead of the Sunday contest to let you know that no full episode today, but the boys are planning to go live later this week, so stay tuned to this channel - like the page and make sure you have live alerts turned on!
Luke and Alex get together to chat live about the Pirates series, and do a little look ahead this weekends games against the Royals.
Luke and Alex get together late on a Monday to discuss the last week of Detroit Tigers baseball - sweeping the Astros, then being swept by the Athletics. They discuss pitching, some of the defensive head scratcher moments, and more.
Luke and Alex are joined by Resident A's fan Tom - who was at last night's no-hitter in Chicago - to talk smack ahead of the 4-game weekend set between your Detroit Tigers and his Oakland Athletics.
After a rough weekend series, Luke and Alex get together to recap any of the brights spots - and talk through the many rough spots - of getting swept by Cleveland, following a series loss to the Twins. They discuss the implications of Miguel Cabrera heading to the IL, Teheran heading to the 60-day IL, and when they anticipate seeing Spencer Turnbull back in the lineup.
Luke and Alex get together to discuss what they liked (and disliked) about what they saw in the Tigers opening series against Cleveland. Further discussions about the price of beer on Disney property, MLB moving the All-Star game, the vaccine rollout within the Tigers organization, and at which Disney park they'd like to spend a day with Miguel Cabrera.
