what type of sage do i use?
i like white buffalo sage. it is commonly burned to purify the mind, body and spirit. it also purifies the area + is very clearing ✨
i also don’t use the word “smudging”
smudging is a culturally specific practice that belongs to Native Americans and Indigenous people’s traditions.
i feel comfortable saying “i burn sage. i clear with sage”. i learned this a few years ago, and have since tried to watch my language around this practice.
i find buffalo sage also smells the best! i get compliments on it all the time. i recommend finding what works best for you while clearing your space + your clients ✨

my office for the next few days 🤓
let’s talk about habits.
one of my best features is that i am great at routines. i go to the gym everyday at the same time. i clean my house on fridays. i water my plants on fridays. i do laundry every week on the same day. i do set tasks every day of the week. i walk my dog at the same time everyday. it keeps me so very disciplined and routined.
one of my worst features is that i love routines 😅
i eat at the same places. i order the same things. i walk the same route with my dog. i only do laundry on fridays. i only go to the gym at noon.
i only ever work from my desk, at home.
why?
i’ve been asking myself this… why can’t i change my office location, why can’t i go to the gym at 6pm, why don’t i order something different???
in my era of discomfort + growth ✌🏼 i hated this set up today (only because it wasn’t my usual set up), but nothing ever changed by staying the same.

when did my abilities and intuition start to kick in?
…after i took a reiki level one course ⭐️
when did my mediumship and psychic abilities really start to increase?
… after i took reiki level two 🌟
why?
i believe it was because of the awareness reiki level one gives you into your own body, energy and intuition and because of the level two attunements that made everything faster and easier to understand.
feeling confused? level two will help! want more? level two will open you up further! ready for the next steps to increase your intuition… take a level two course 🫶🏼
i teach reiki level one and two monthly (virtually) because these courses are SO special to me, and SO life changing for others. when you are ready to open up, i trust there will be a course waiting for you 🌟

it’s summer time, and i feel like i am
✨ LIVING ✨
i am a workaholic, and not afraid to admit it. i don’t have balance, i have been growing a business for the last 5 years, i usually say no or that i can’t because of work… BUT NOT THE LAST FEW MONTHS 😎
i have been saying yes, and boy do i feel ALIVE 🔥
i just cancelled work to go out of town… old steph would neverrrrrr even think about it. quite literally, the thought would not even cross my mind.
in 8 weeks, i have been to vancouver, bowen island, ontario, florida, i did a photoshoot in calgary, golfing in invemere bc, went to the spa, gone paddle boarding, i am going to the calgary stampede for the first time (for context, i have been in berta since 2011) and i am going to revelstoke bc for 5 days because i can work remote (duh!) …but i have been glued to my work for so i long i forgot that!
reminder that life should be fun. if it is not fun, make it fun. no one else is going to say yes for you ☀️
i repeat: no one else is going to say YES for you.
happy july!! today is probably the first day in banff i don’t have to wear a sweater 😂

in ✨ Reiki ✨, it is important to know what you are learning and who you are learning it from.
this is my reiki lineage, where i am only 6 teachers away from one of the original teachers of Reiki, Madam Takata - the woman responsible of bringing Reiki to the West.
what does this mean?
this means, my teachings are very traditional. i teach in a “this is what we do, and how we do it” type of way. everything is very straight forward, easy to understand and in most cases i have broken it down into a step-by-step format for you to easily follow as you learn.
are you looking for the traditional teachings of reiki? my courses are very in depth to include all the traditional information PLUS everything i wish i would have know when i took my level one course. if something took me 2 years to learn, i share it with you on day 1!

i took two REAL days off 😎
it was long weekend in canada and i took days off and went to bc 🇨🇦! i planned something, i booked off work, i got dog care, i got a hotel, i dealt with the crowds and i did the thing! 😃
this year, i am really trying to live my life more and not let work consume me. owning your own business is hard. the work never stops and it’s hard to shut down for a “weekend”.
i am so proud of myself for taking this time!!!
here is a photo of me and arch 🐶 back in banff, on the top of tunnel mountain. if you look closely you can see the pollen in the air that almost murdered me on this hike 👀 🤣 i am embarrassed to say this is my first hike of tunnel of the year 🫣 another reason for me to shut off my computer, and get to my backyard!! quite literally the base of this mountain is steps from my front door.
a successful weekend away, and now i’m ready to get back to work! 🤓

hi, my name is steph and i am a medium who doesn’t offer mediumship readings 👻
crazy, eh?!
but let me explain why…
for me (and this isn’t for everyone), mediumship is a lot of work and very draining. i get asked every day if reiki drains me and my answer is always no, but mediumship on the other hand does feel like work on my physical and mental body.
i currently work 6 days a week and see a lot of clients, i teach a lot of reiki and my prices are very reasonable.
if i were to offer mediumship, i could not work 6 days a week, i would have to adjust my schedule and my prices. and a full schedule, offering and price overhaul is not something i want to do right now. i love my current schedule and there is nothing i could give up to add space for mediumship.
mediumship is also a high expectation job! people want to hear from certain people, they want to hear certain things … and while i know spirit ALWAYS shows up and delivers, it is just not for me right now… and that is okay!
right now, i have the energy to work a lot and teach a lot. so that is what i am doing! i always say i have a lot of mediums that i feel confident sending referrals too, but i do not have a lot of teachers or mentors that i can refer too. so i am filling that space (i also never refer anyone i have not personally been to)
i know when i am older, i will want to work less and i will do readings until i am grey and beyond! the lucky part for me starting this journey before i was 30 years old, means i have a lot of time to do this work that i love, i just love it all so differently 🫶🏼
so for now, you can find me doing a heck of a lot of reiki and teaching a lot… like, a lot 😅🤓

i hang an evil eye on the inside top of all my all doors (i believe this comes from a greek tradition 🇬🇷)
it is said to ward off evil eye from your space (this is my office, but i also have one in my home!)
evil eye comes from the look/intent/jealousy/spiteful/resentful/malicious from others onto your space and home. i don’t believe in “evil spirits” or anything like that, but i do know people can have looks and send mal intent.
in lebanese tradition, we put evil eye pins on babies to protect them from these looks as a young kid.
as you get older, you can wear necklaces, bracelets, i even have a tattoo!

🍋 the water ceremony for reiki masters teacher attunements 🍋
did you know, there are two water ceremonies that take place when you become a reiki master?
the attunements for reiki level 3 are much more complex and have many traditions built into them and a lot of ceremony. the water ceremony is one of them! it is very special ✨
keeping the tradition of the reiki attunements is something i take very seriously, and something i uphold for all my virtual and in person trainings (we do all the same things if we are virtual or together IRL!).
these are the lemons + set up from today’s reiki master water ceremony! 🍋☀️💕✨🙏🏼
i am feeling so grateful to have attuned my 6th reiki master!
