Steph is one of those moms where you ask yourself… how the heck does she do it all?! She is a woman of many hats and does it with grace. She’s a mother of 3 boys, wife of a US Marine, chef, water polo coach, striving real estate agent, and activist. This episode dives into what it’s like to be a military wife and the experience of many months-long deployments. What is it like for partners to spend so much time apart? Coming together is also a struggle. Steph is open about the mental woes and how they advocated for healing themselves and their relationship.

This pod also covers the influx of out of California moves. Many people talk about it, Steph and her family actually did it. She talks about why they moved to Texas and the freedom to choose how to raise a family in a sea of many different beliefs. They talk about some polarizing topics like vaccines and the discussion of s*x education and the gender binary in schools.

At Real Mother Fu***rs, we aim to share all perspectives. Listen with an open mind. Find healthy ways to support each other even if you disagree on ideals and beliefs.

This is why we created this podcast. The gold standard is when people come up to us and tell us something that was said in our pod resonated with them. Or they feel heard. Or seen. It’s an extra treat when they take action based on what they learned on our pod.

Look, we’re not telling you what to do. We are telling you there are options to mother the way you want. And guess what? There are a zillion ways to parent, give birth, take care of yourself, view life, etc. We hope that maybe one episode speaks to you in some way.

This one goes out to Vanessa, who is a parent-child pre-school teacher, a Spanish teacher, a yoga teacher, beef-slanger (), and our official podcast editor. This woman even built a tiny home next to her house.

Meanwhile, I work really hard, too. At naps 😎

For all the working moms, you go, girl. For all the moms who work at/the home, you are essential workers. Read book on domestic work, which is so undervalued in our society. Moms, let’s celebrate all the work we do to raise the next generation.

In our episode this week, Luana shares details about her autism diagnosis. They take a trip down university memory lane and realize some of the things Luana did was actually stimming! She just didn’t have a name for it yet because she lived her entire life up until a few years ago not knowing she was autistic.
