RIP Andrew Symonds / Enjoy Symonds Great World Record One Day International 150 / DIGITAL CRICKET TV
Andrew Symonds (9 June 1975 – 14 May 2022), also commonly known by the nickname "Roy", was an Australian international cricketer, who played all three formats as a batting all-rounder. He was an important member of two World Cup winning squads. Symonds played as a right-handed, middle order batsman and alternated between medium pace and off-spin bowling. He was also notable for his exceptional fielding skills.
After mid-2008, Symonds spent significant time out of the team, due to disciplinary reasons, including alcohol. In June 2009, he was sent home from the 2009 World Twenty20, his third suspension, expulsion or exclusion from selection in the space of a year. His central contract was then withdrawn, and many cricket analysts speculated that the Australian administrators would no longer tolerate him, and that Symonds might announce his retirement. Symonds eventually retired from all forms of cricket in February 2012, to concentrate on his family life.
Symonds died in a single-vehicle car crash about 50 km (31 mi) outside Townsville, Queensland, on 14 May 2022.

Happy Birthday Incredibal Sachin Tendulkar 2022 / Enjoy Sachin's World Record Moment / DIGITAL CRICKET TV
Sachin Tendulkar turns 49 on 25th April 2022. The Little Master, whose full name is Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar, was born on this day in 1973 in a Maharashtrian family in Dadar, Mumbai.
Former India captain Sachin was born on April 24, 1973, in Mumbai to a Maharashtrian family. Sachin will spend his 49th birthday with Mumbai Indians (MI) in their team bio-bubble as the five-time champions are competing in the IPL 2022.
His father, Ramesh Tendulkar, a renowned Marathi novelist, was a big fan of the legendary musician Sachin Dev Burman. The batting great is an owner of many records during his playing career spanning two decades - 200 Tests, 100 international hundreds, 34357 international runs... You name them and he had them.
Sachin Tendulkar made his debut aged 16 years against Pakistan and, despite a bloodied nose and a few failures, Tendulkar became the greatest batsman since the days of Don Bradman.
Tendulkar finished his career as the leading run-getter in international cricket, with 34,357 runs across formats -- 15,921 in 200 Tests, 18426 in 463 ODIs and 10 in 1 T20 international.
Tendulkar was the first player to smash a double hundred in ODIs when he struck 200 not out off 147 balls against South Africa in Gwalior on February 24, 2010. He made a record six World Cup appearances, eventually ending up on the triumphant side in his last, in 2011 at the Wankhede stadium when India defeated Sri Lanka in the final.

In the first semi-final, Pakistan defeated tournament favourites New Zealand in a high-scoring match to win their first semi-final in four attempts and book a place in the World Cup Final for the first time. New Zealand batted first and scored 262. Their captain Martin Crowe was injured while scoring 91, and opted to let John Wright captain during Pakistan's innings rather than risk aggravating the injury, which was seen as a mistake in hindsight. When Inzamam-ul-Haq came in to bat, Pakistan still needed 123 from 15 overs. He smashed 60 runs in 37 balls in the chase to achieve the target with one over remaining and also won the Man of the Match award.

AMY HUNTER Becomes World's Youngest International Centurion 2021 / Ireland Cricket Team / DIGITAL CRICKET TV
Ireland's AMY HUNTER has become the youngest player to score a senior international century, hitting an unbeaten 121 and taking her side to a win against Zimbabwe on her 16th birthday.
Hunter overtook the record previously held by India's Mithali Raj, who scored 114 not out in and ODI against Ireland at the age of 16 years and 205 days in June 1999.
Shahid Afridi is the youngest man to hit an ODI century. He was 16 years and 217 days old when he scored 102 against Sri Lanka in 1996.
Hunter is younger than any man or woman who has scored a century in T20Is. No one has scored a hundred in Test cricket at a younger age, where records are known.
Played just her fourth ODI on 11 Oct, 2021 Monday, Hunter's knock came off 127 balls and included eight fours. It was the highest score by a batter for Ireland Women, passing Karen Young's 120 made in 2000 against Pakistan.
Having managed just seven runs across her previous three innings - all against Zimbabwe - Hunter's latest performance helped her side to a total of 312 for 3 from their 50 overs in the fourth and final ODI in Harare, the highest team total by Ireland Women in ODI cricket. Ireland won the match by 85 runs to seal the series 3-1.
"It feels really good, it's a bit surreal right now," Hunter said.

AUSTRALIA vs ENGLAND
Final
8 November 1987
Eden Gardens, Calcutta, India
AUSTRALIA - 253/5 (50 overs)
ENGLAND - 246/8 (50 overs)
Australia won by 7 runs
In the final, played at an over-flowing Eden Gardens in Calcutta, Australia met England with the latter enjoying the backing of the experts. When Australia, electing to bat, posted 253 runs, there were not many who would have expected Allan Border’s squad to pull it off.
David Boon, the stocky opener known for his grit and patience, played a critical role and produced a classy knock of 75. This innings, crafted against a tidy attack, is ranked among the finest in World Cup history.
It reflected the character of the team and also confirmed Boon as a technically accomplished batsman. He chose his strokes carefully on a challenging pitch where England was served superbly by its spinners — John Emburey and Eddie Hemmings.
Boon played them on merit and helped Australia set up a 250-plus target. England fell short by seven runs and much of the blame was put on Mike Gatting, who perished to an ill-advised reverse sweep.
For Boon, it was a personally memorable moment as Australia won its first ever Cup.

His 447 runs (at 55.87 average) was a major contribution to Australia's first World Cup victory.

Joel Garner Best Bowling Cricket World Cup - 1979 / Final Lord's / DIGITAL CRICKET TV
CRICKET WORLD CUP - 1979
Final / 23 June
Lords / London
JOEL GARNER BEST BOWLING
After England's openers had batted too slowly in the 1979 final, their middle order was destroyed by Joel Garner's steepling bounce and accuracy
West Indies were the odds-on favourites to retain the World Cup when they took on England in the final at Lord's in June 1979. They survived an early wobble to post 286 for 9, thanks to Viv Richards' magnificent 138. In reply,
England had reached 183 for 2, but Mike Brearley and Geoff Boycott had taken up almost two-thirds of the 60 overs in a first-wicket stand of 129, and the required rate was creeping towards double figures.
In the 48th over (it was a 60-over match), Joel Garner came back for his second spell from the Nursery End. At the best of times, he was hard to play because at 6ft 8in, his arm was coming from high above the sightscreen and out of the trees above the stands. Add into that the late-afternoon gloom and England's task became almost impossible. "We were grateful to England for their tactics," Garner recalled. "By the time they [the openers] were gone, it would have taken a superhuman effort to retrieve the situation."
The superhuman effort did come, but from Garner himself. His line and length were immaculate from the first ball, as he fired in a succession of spearing yorkers. He bowled Graham Gooch for 32 and then four balls later, blasted through David Gower's defence. Colin Croft soon bowled out Derek Randall, and Ian Botham's attempt to smash the ball out of the ground only ended with Richards holding a smart running catch at long-on in front of the Tavern, leaving England at 192 for 7.
In the next over, Garner ruthlessly polished off what remained of England's tail, bowling Wayne Larkins and Chris Old, and having Bob Taylor caught behind, all for ducks. In 11 balls, Garner had taken 5 for 4, and England had lost their last eight wickets for 11 runs. "Garner broke the back," Clive Lloyd said. "It was just wonde

KL Rahul Scores A Century Against County Select XI In Warm-Up Clash Ahead Of England Tests
India’s batsman #KLRahul started well by scoring a brilliant 101 against the County Select XI on day one of the three-day warm-up game played at the Riverside Ground, Chester-Le-Street in Durham.
HIGHLIGHTS
*KL Rahul made 101 from 150 balls before retiring out in the practice game
*Rahul hit 11 fours and a six during his 15th first-class hundred
*Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja's 127-run stand helped India recover from 107/4 to 234/5
Wicketkeeper-batsman KL Rahul made a strong case for his inclusion in India's final XI for the upcoming first Test against England by hitting a potentially match-saving hundred on Day 1 of their warm-up game in Durham on 20 July Tuesday.
Rahul's 15th first-class century bailed India out of trouble after they were reduced to 107 for 4 by the 38th over by County Select XI at Chester-le-Street.
Rahul's 150-ball knock was laced with 11 fours and a six. He finally retired out for 101 after batting in the middle for 175 minutes.
Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja's fifth-wicket partnership worth 127 runs helped India recover to 234 for 5 before the Bangalore batsman was called back to the dressing room. Jadeja meanwhile, went on to score his 31st first-class fifty off 107 balls after being joined by Shardul Thakur in the middle.
Rahul is expected to don the wicketkeeping gloves later on when India bowl as Rishabh Pant was ruled out of this game after testing positive for Covid-19 on July 8. He is expected to feature in India's intra-squad game which they will play from July 28.
This is India’s only warmup game against a county side as they will next play an intra-squad match from July 28 onwards before the first Test match between India and England begins on August 4 in Trent Bridge,

CRICKETER ASH BARTY WIMBLEDON CHAMPION 2021
Australian Ash Barty is no ordinary woman. The newly crowned Wimbledon champion isn't just an established tennis player, but was a budding professional cricketer too and played in the Women's Big Bash League. On 10 July Saturday 2021, the 25-year-old became the first Aussie woman to win the Wimbledon after Evonne Goolagong Cawley in 1980.
Barty won her final against Czech Republic’s Karolina Pliskova 6-3, 6-7, 6-3, to clinch her second Grand Slam, after the French Open in 2019. But tennis wasn’t an instant success story for her. Back in 2014, she had taken a break from the sport to play cricket. She went on to represent Brisbane Heat in the WBBL and played a few matches.
“It truly was an amazing period of my life," Barty had said on her cricket career earlier. “I met an amazing group of people who couldn’t care less whether I could hit a tennis ball or not.
“They accepted me, and they got to know Ash Barty. They got to know me. I still have those relationships to this very day. I got an amazing amount of messages over the last couple of days from those cricket girls who were some of my best friends.
“The way they are accepting of someone new coming into their locker room, into their dressing room and into their sport was amazing. They are truly an incredible group of girls that I know I’ll have a relationship with for the rest of my life and a friendship with for the rest of my life," she added.

MITHALI RAJ Most Runs In International Women's Cricket / Indian Cricket Team / DIGITAL CRICKET TV
WOMEN'S IN CRICKET
India Women's ODI captian Mithali Raj has gone past former England batter Charlotte Edwards to hold the world record for the most runs in women's international cricket. Raj, 38, went past Edward's tally of 10,273 runs during the 3rd ODI between England Women and India in Worcester on 3rd July Saturday.
Mithali Raj needed just 12 runs to go past the tally of 10,273 runs and the India skipper got there with a delightful drive for a boundary. She is the only Indian cricketer to have scored more than 10,000 runs in Women's international cricket.
Mithali Raj, who holds the record for the most runs in Women's ODIs, achieved the major landmark as she was leading India's chase of 220 in the ODI series finale.
Mithali Raj also holds the record for the most-capped player in the history of Women's Cricket. In 2020, she was named in the ICC ODI team of the decade. The 38-year-old has been the flagbearer of India women's cricket. She led the team to the final of the Women's World Cup in 2017.
