Hey friends! I want to share my ongoing full-stack project—an open-source inventory system. Currently, I'm focusing on backend development using C #, .NET 6 (planning to upgrade to .NET 8 once a stable build is available), and a micro monolith architecture! 🌐🛠️

This project is all about learning best practices and exploring new emerging technologies. While I'm not accepting contributions right now, I encourage you to follow along and learn from the process! 🤓🌱

I've implemented some backend modules, CI/CD, and plan to add a frontend (probably React) soon. I'll also document the project with video dev logs to share insights and progress! 📹📚

Did you know that there's a name for the small icon that you see on the browser tab? It's called the favicon or favorite icon.

Usually, it's on the header part of the main HTML page as a link or just in your website's root folder.

You can typically update it by looking for the [favicon.ico] and replacing it with an image with these file extensions ICO, PNG, GIF, JPEG, SVG.

It will also help if you have multiple dimensions of your icon to cater to different screen resolutions.

While waiting for the final piece of equipment that we'll use for streaming, Your Tito is currently working on our website. What a difference it makes when you add some icons(font-awesome 5) and a decent looking font (Fira Code) into your website.

I was also thinking of streaming the rest of the parts of building this website. The next feature that I'm planning to have is a simple project page that fetches project data from TitoCodes Github via API and displays it on the page!

CI/CD stands for continuous integration and continuous delivery.

This process is mainly used to automate the deployment and lessen the risk of messing up your codebase when introducing new code changes.

Here's a little example,

The one you see on the upper right of the picture is my local machine, and that's the output of the change that I wanted to introduce.

On the upper left side is Github. It's a repository for source codes. Once I pushed my changes on it and merged it on a specific branch, it will trigger another action.

That's where the guy here on the lower left comes in. That is the Docker hub. This is where we host all our docker images after it was built after successfully building and updating the image.

It will then trigger an action to Azure to deploy the website!

Finally, the one on the lower right, that's TitoCodes website in production. After all those actions, it will be updated based on the changes I introduced in my local!

What I described on the top is more of a simplified version of what happens. If you want to learn more about CI/CD, you might want to follow this page and other TitoCodes channels!
