*ZAMFARA STATE 7TH HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY APROVED EXECUTIVE REQUEST TO APPOINT TWENTY (20) SPECIAL ADVISERS.*
In its first sitting (plenary) after inauguration, the Zamfara State House of Assembly adopts the 2023/2024 Sitting Calendar and House Standing Orders.
Presenting the motion before the House, _the Majority Leader_, *Honourable Bello Muhammad Mazawaje* called on his colleagues to receive the Standing Orders 2022 (as amended) deliberate and resolve to adopt it in accordance with the provisions of Section 101 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended).
*Honourable Bello Muhammad Mazawaje*, further stressed the importance of adopting the Standing Orders as guiding principles for the conduct of the House fundamental business of law-making, representation and oversight functions.
The motion was seconded by *Honourable Bashir Aliyu Masama* and supported by *Honourable Faruk Musa Dosara* and *Honourable Shamsudeen Hassan Talata Mafara* respectively.
With the unanimous agreement of the Members in session, _the Speaker_, *Rt. Honourable Bilyaminu Isma'il* later announced the adoption of the House Standing Orders 2022 (as amended).
In a related development, _the Majority Leader_, *Honourable Bello Muhammad Mazawaje* presented the motion for the adoption of 2023/2024 session’s sitting calendar.
He called on the Members in session to deliberate on the first Session’s Seventh Assembly Plenary and Recess Calendar in accordance with Section 104 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended) as a guide for the House sitting and recess.
After full deliberation by the Members, _the Speaker_, *Rt. Hon. Bilyaminu Ismaíl* confirmed the adoption of the 2023/2024 session’s sitting calendar with amendment.
The House further deliberated on the request received from _the State Executive Governor_, *Dr. Duda Lawal (Gamjin Gusau)* seeking the approval of the House to appoint
