Actors and film folks! We're hosting a table read for a feature film I've written and we're looking for some actors who want to lend their talents to this important step in the creative process. If you're not a film person but are interested in coming and listening, hit me up as well, this is a fun low stress event! The story is rated Probably PG - PG13 ish, but a light PG-13 :)

THE SECOND FILM in our "give the audience of a local film competition an experience" plan.
We didn't just want to make ONE film... we wanted to create an experience for the audience... so We broke into three teams and created THREE films!!! With one catch, we wanted them all to be connected in some way, not like Part 1, part 2 and so on, just connected. Love Ya, Bro was written by the talented Michelle Roberts ( one of our newest members) and the talents of Ryan Migliore and Warren A. Tharp as the actors!

A couple weeks back us at the 388 Collective decided to join in on a locale film competition, where each team creates a short film in a certain amount of time, with certain line of dialogue, prop and genre, but we didn't just want to make ONE film... we wanted to create an experience for the audience... so We broke into three teams and created THREE films!!! With one catch, we wanted them all to be connected in some way, not like Part 1, part 2 and so on, just connected. Over the next 3 days we will release each short film for you to enjoy! MEET OUR TEAM — Quinci Staker comes to our team with an acting background but is also wearing her producer hat for "The Longest Days of June." A veteran of short films in Utah, she has also been an integral part of two feature films, "Out of Line" where she played Gertrude with memorable fierceness and and performs a more downtrodden role in the forthcoming "Thin Walls." Hey! It's one of our own, doing big things and grinning like he knows something you don't!

MEET OUR TEAM — This is Keenan Panti, who by no coincidence has the same last name as Madeline Panti and is part of the group putting our feature film "The Longest Days of June," together.

He, along with parts of this group, is the force behind "Thin Walls," a thriller feature in post production he directed and co wrote. A diverse talent, Keenan also acts, sings and plays drums and edits video for a major YouTube channel. With Utah roots he currently calls North Carolina home. Rumor has it, the NC contingent will expand soon!

A good film starts with a good script, but no matter how many times the writer reads, re-reads and re-writes the pages nothing, compares to getting feedback from people not so closely tied to the story. That's where you come in!
Our next feature film is in the early pre-productions stages and we are inviting you to the table read. We're looking for all kinds of people to attend, filmmakers and regular humans alike!
Come and enjoy the script being performed by professional actors, snack on some light refreshments and share your thoughts about the script with us. This is a great opportunity to participate in the creative process and to help shape even better films being created here in Utah.

CREW HIGHLIGHT: A few rare moments of stillness for Codie Hancock, who makes himself invaluable as both Key Grip and Gaffer.

I've never heard Codie complain about assembling a jib crane or moving an entire lighting setup. He really knows his stuff, and works fast to stay on schedule.

CAST HIGHLIGHT: plays Brigham, a caring boyfriend who works in news. Maclain Drake is hard of hearing, as is his character, and works with a lot of venues and businesses to improve their accessibility.
Maclain keeps us laughing on set, but will snap into character when Keenan calls "Action!"
