When we think about courage, our minds automatically go to heros.

Heros have courage.

How are you daring to dabble this summer?

I dared to take my parents on their first river float on kayaks! It was an adventure. We were surrounded by rain clouds, it was 46 degrees, just enough cfs to slip through beaver dams and rock rapids, my mom had to learn how to steer herself on the fly and we almost went down the wrong tributary. WHOOPS!

But we all smiles!

Do you know the difference between SYMPATHY and EMPATHY?

A year ago, Elise sure didn't, but now she knows HOW important it is to know the difference.

Why should you know the difference?
Because there is a big difference as to how each one makes a person feel,
it EVEN affects how they heal!

Seriously, fewer hospital days when patients report receiving empathy. Patients actually feel angry and closed off if they get sympathy.

By exploring new places, we open our minds, hearts and spirit to how different our own life would be if we were born somewhere else.

Hello... they have 9 lives! ;)

Whether if you land on your feet or not, getting curious enlivens your mind and body which leds can lead to Type 1 or Type 2 fun.
(we haven't talked about these types of fun yet... but we'll try later this season)

Explore with the Outdoor Adventure Club! They can tell you all about Type 1 vs 2 fun.

The Outdoor Adventure Club exists to:
1) help you learn a new outdoor sport in a safe supportive environment;
2) do the planning for you because you are too busy at work to plan your next climbing or backpacking adventure;
3) to meet rad people
Fun fact! Richard stopped counting after 83 couples have resulted from this 'club' - even though it is NOT a singles dating group - wink, wink the magic does happen, share with your single friends. (I did!)

Basically it started off with a bunch of dabbling,

blindly dabbling in search of greater meaning...

she was in search of herself and had NO IDEA where to start, where to go, what to do... so she just started dabbling. She kept saying yet even though it was scary and uncharted terrority.

And oh boy did it lead her down an interesting and unexpected path.

While Elise did not have enough time to cover everything in this podcast, she provides an overview of how dabbling, led her down this interesting road that ended up bringing her to exactly where she wanted to be... back in her true self.

Oh journaling... it can be a complicated relationship. Some days it is helpful,
Some days, I'm just going through the motions, or
Sometimes, I don't see the point.

But after practicing this modality relatively consistently, well let's just say... the most consistent that I have ever been in my entire life.

And I have to say that the benefits for me are... it decreases the chatter in my brain, it allows me to process what is going on in my life, it helps quiet my mind before bed, it gives me a place to document the things that are really important in my life and it probably has decreased my stress and tension.
