It's the holiday season and Pace is coming to you fresh with some Thanksgiving Horror recommendations. No holiday says horror quite like Thanksgiving, with its genocidal, colonialist legacy, so sit back, pop the popcorn, and throw one of these flicks on the tube.

Blood Rage (1987), Thanksgiving (2022), and Pilgrim (2019) are slashers that each take a different gory approach to carving that... ahem... turkey. Black Friday (2021) is a horror comedy that examines the run-away consumerism that follows the USA's solemn holiday of being thankful for what one has.

For those interested in not-as-scary approaches to the holiday, Home for the Holidays (1995) is a comedy film that dwells in the horrors of bio-family that Thanksgiving too often brings. Turkey Hollow (2015) is a Thanksgiving kids movie from Jim Henson's muppet studios, but the puppets aren't the only horror in store for the characters. Finally, Addams Family Values (1993) is the only film that doesn't take place on or around Thanksgiving, but it does feature a Thanksgiving play where Wednesday Addams delves into the genocidal themes of the holiday, much to the horror of the WASPy summer camp counselors and families.
