If you are looking for somewhere to take the kids these school holidays go and check out the Kumbartcho Sanctuary Environment Centre. This venue is free to visit and has some amazing resources for their visitors.

Take the kids on a trail walk and find the gorgeous Fairy Trail, look behind each door and see what you can find. There's even a little space to write a letter to the fairies.

Keep an eye out for all of the wildlife along the way and remember to pack your hats, sunscreen and water bottles.

This parenting thing isn’t something to take lightly.

It’s a big job.

The biggest of them all.

But it’s one where we will keep showing up,
keep learning,
keep apologizing,
keep growing,
and keep offering every ounce of our hearts to see their little hearts soar.

10 THINGS TIME HAS TAUGHT ME

1. Most of our life is spent chasing false goals and worshipping false ideals. The day you realise that is the day you really start to live.

2. You really, truly cannot please all of the people all of the time. Please yourself first and your loved ones second, everyone else is busy pleasing themselves anyway, trust me.

3. Fighting the ageing process is like trying to catch the wind. Go with it, enjoy it. Your body is changing, but it always has been. Don’t waste time trying to reverse that, instead change your mindset to see the beauty in the new.

4. Nobody is perfect and nobody is truly happy with their lot. When that sinks in you are free of comparison and free of judgement. It’s truly liberating.

5. No one really sees what you do right, everyone sees what you do wrong. When that becomes clear to you, you will start doing things for the right reason and you will start having so much more fun.

6. You will regret the years you spent berating your looks, the sooner you can make peace with the vessel your soul lives in, the better. Your body is amazing and important but it does not define you.

7. Your health is obviously important but stress, fear and worry are far more damaging than any delicious food or drink you may deny yourself. Happiness and peace are the best medicine.

8. Who will remember you and for what, become important factors as you age. Your love and your wisdom will live on far longer than any material thing you can pass down. Tell your stories, they can travel farther than you can imagine.

9. We are not here for long but if you are living against the wind it can feel like a life-sentence. Life should not feel like a chore, it should feel like an adventure.

10. Always, always, drink the good champagne and use the things you keep for ‘best’. Tomorrow is guaranteed to no one. Today is a gift that’s why we call it the present. Eat, Drink & Be Merry.

Most of us would have memories of walking along the beach collecting seashells when we were children.

Now we get to create these memories with our children.

School cross country!

This is one of those events that I would have missed if I was still working my “9-5” job.

Now that we have two in school it’s a half day experience to be there for both events and I love it. School/ community spirit is my jam and being able to cheer the girls on fills my heart with so much joy💕

We packed the car with the wagon and picnic rugs and snacks for the littlest member of the family and positioned ourselves right near the finish line.

To watch the girls faces light up when they saw us as they came around the last corner to finish the race was just priceless ✨

This is my WHY!

This is the reason we are making small steps to change the trajectory of our lives. To be there for these events, to have the flexibility to do the things that WE want to do and to live life.

12 months ago I was lost!

I didn’t know who I was anymore and I didn’t feel like I was really reaching my true potential. I knew there had to be more out there, more options but I didn’t know where to even start.

I began focussing on repairing myself mentally. I chose to start looking at myself as a strong woman who had an incredible gift. Someone who has always wanted to help others in some way.

I’ve now injected this fire and passion in to working in the online space. I am learning so much every day about the power of the online world and how we can leverage this space to generate an income to help us live on our terms on our own time. I want to create a community of strong like minded people who have the same fire, passion and hunger for change!

Nearly 5 billion people use social media daily - that’s 1 in 3 people, world wide using different social media platforms. This number is only going to increase! So isn’t now a great time to learn how to use this incredible tool at our finger tips?

Little hack for our followers with little ones…

Reusable yoghurt pouches!

We go through so much yoghurt in this house with 3 children and with the cost of groceries soaring I thought I would seek alternative ways to cut some of our standard grocery costs.

The 2 tubs of yoghurt in the photo cost $4 each from Woolworths $8 total and I managed to make 17 pouches of approx 120g of yoghurt for roughly .49c each.

These pouches are the Cherub baby brand and purchased from Chemist warehouse but you can purchase reusable yoghurt pouches from many stockists online.

This hack when compared to our regular purchase of roughly $1-$2 per serve is a great way to put some $$ back in our pocket.

It may only be a matter of a few dollars but this all adds up for families operating on one income.

To some, it’s just water.
To me, it’s where I regain my sanity!

I’m so thankful and blessed to have this man standing by my side.

For years and years he has sacrificed so much to financially support our family which means he has missed out on many big milestones in our babies lives. Even just the daily ups and downs of their childhood.

We are now making big changes to create the lifestyle we desire, to be able to have greater work-life balance and a stronger family connection for us all.

This is something I am incredibly passionate about and believe that if you have the desire and hunger to change your life you absolutely can.

How was everyone's first week back at school (QLD) Or how are your preparations going if you start back tomorrow?

Our Eldest started Year 2 and our second started Prep - we have had a whirlwind of emotions to deal with but its been a great transition back in to school.

There are always so many emotions around the idea of heading back to school or even first timers starting school. Excitement, anxiousness, fear, trepidation, curiosity and the list could go on and on!

Meal planning and grocery shopping kind of morning today.

I‘ve done this method many times and found it to be a great way to sticking to a budget or at least decrease the spend on our weekly shopping as it allows me to really plan ahead and make use of things we may already have in the pantry of fridge.

I include the kids during the planning process as it helps them feel responsible for our choices and allows them to voice their favourites too.

I will always scan the catalogue and the 1/2 price specials and work my meal plan around those options.

We spent our Australia Day morning doing a nature walk observing different native animals and plants along our way.

We utilised this awesome ”Nature finds” activity from Kmart Australia to help us discover different colours, shapes and textures of natural objects around us.

We hope however you chose to spend your Public holiday today that you were able to spend it with the people you love 💕

Travel Tips Tuesday!

1) Pack snacks and drinks for the kids, to avoid hunger and thirst-related complaints during the trip.
2) Bring along a portable DVD player or tablet loaded with kid-friendly movies or games to keep them entertained.
3) Have a bag with essentials such as extra clothes, nappies, wipes and first aid supplies in in an easy to reach location in case of any accidents or emergencies.
4) Make sure everyone has a comfortable position and enough space, also plan some games and activities that can be done inside the car.
5) Take regular breaks for stretching, rest, and to give everyone a chance to burn off some energy.

Cania Gorge

This place is a little slice of heaven - we wish we had more then two days to explore the beautiful surroundings.

Cania Gorge is one of Queensland’s hidden secrets. It’s an ancient place created over 200 million years by natural weather events. What’s left now are towering cliffs, caves, sheltered gorges and ancient Aboriginal art in the Cania Gorge National Park.

This natural wonderland is home to more than 150 plant species, 90 bird species and is known for rainbow lorikeets, bush-tailed rock-wallabies and common bent-wing bats.

We stayed at the BIG4 Breeze Holiday Parks - Cania Gorge which includes self contained cabins, power and unpowered camp sites. It’s a place for the whole family including the furry members with so many great features. We enjoyed the free bird feeding, water park, jumping pillow, pedal carts and frisbee golf. The facilities were clean and maintained well. We recommend packing the insect repellent and sunscreen if you plan on heading out there.
