Episode 7 is out!!

Apologies if you have heard this already, it's been a busy month. Speaking with the fountain of knowledge Jennifer Hamlin all the way from New Zealand, this one is a gem.

Are you frustrated at the lack of evidence as we are? Veterinary nurses are in a prime position to fill this gap and therefore we need to publish! In the final episode of series one, we speak to the incredibly inspirational Jennifer Hamlin, educator, learner (studying for a phD), RVN, technician and editor extraordinaire. We discuss how to submit articles, the editorial process, and peer reviewing. True to form, we also divert off into the world of professional identity, scope of practice and education. Alison Young, Clinical Operations Manager at the Queen Mother Hospital for Animals recounts her experiences of creating change in practice, focussing on the transition to alcohol-based hand preparations. Listen in to hear about the challenges that she faced and how she has overcome them, using evidence bases to support her leadership journey.

Our one and only podcast engineer Brian Cox won the Betts Prize at the RVC graduation ceremony. This award, for those members of staff who go above and beyond the call of duty, could not have gone to anyone more deserving. Brian sits there through our podcast at all hours to help Lyndsay and I achieve our dream of spreading the voices of EBVN champions. Congratulations Brian 🤩
