The Salton Sea Film & Arts Festival and IID Vice-President Director Alex Cardenas gave a recognition award to Katie Burnworth, who's been a champion of Salton Sea restoration efforts.

VIDEO/FILM WORKSHOPS FREE FOR KIDS 11-13. ONE FREE GIMBAL DRAWING. WESTMORLAND to host launching of series of Video/Film workshops by the Salton Sea Film & Arts Festival. Saturday Feb. 19th at Westmorland Youth Hall from 10am-12noon. One FREE CELLPHONE GIMBAL will be given away to participants in a special drawing at each workshop. Ages 11-13 years old. We're launching a series of monthly workshops countywide on video/film basics and Undersheriff Fred Miramontes is giving us his support. We'll be giving one CELLPHONE GIMBAL at each workshop in a special drawing. This month, Sat. Feb. 19th, we'll be at Westmorland 10am-12pm and Calipatria 2pm-4pm. Thank you Undersheriff Fred Miramontes for investing in our youth and community always.

We kickoff the year with a new logo and highlighting the gifting of gimbals to all the winners (1st, 2nd and 3rd place) of our recent festival - that's right, everyone in the last round got a gimbal. Please watch our January 2022 episode and share it.

City of El Centro Mayor Pro-Tem Martha Singh congratulates all the filmmakers of the Salton SEA Film Festival and thanks them for raising awareness through their films.

George Marquez recently received a PLAQUE OF APPRECIATION from the Salton SEA Film Festival for his active support of the project and for his support of local youth community activities. Marquez is the president of the Calexico Rotary Club and is active in many other activities helping the community.

Undersheriff Fred Miramontes for Imperial County Sheriff congratulates all the filmmakers in the Salton SEA Film Festival and encourages them to be part of the next one, to be announced soon.
