Uncover Autumn at the Dark Hedges🍂🍁🧡

You may recognise the infamous Dark Hedges as they featured as the “King’s Road” in Game of Thrones.

So how did the Dark Hedges row come about? Around 1775, James Stuart built a house, named Gracehill House after his wife Grace Lynd. Over 150 beech trees were planted along the entrance road to the estate, to create an imposing approach. It’s certainly magical still to this day, so James definitely knew what he was doing.

PS. You are not allowed to drive on the road! If you are visiting there is a car park at one end of the road and it’s a super easy walk down.

According to legend, the incredible geological phenomenon was created by an Irish giant called Finn McCool. The say it is "shrouded in a sense of magic, myth and natural wonder."
