Mortalis Toxica – a mysterious alchemist’s kit steeped in dark legend. Created by the elusive Dr. Armand Thorne, a 19th-century chemist rumored to have dabbled in forbidden sciences, this set holds secrets many have dared not unveil.

Each bottle within tells its own story. The icy “Frozen Tears” are believed to have been collected from cursed peaks, while the sinister “Verdant Bindweed” is said to grow only in shadowed forests untouched by sunlight. Thorne claimed these potent concoctions could reveal visions, heal… or destroy.

The screen loops a relentless Emergency Broadcast, warning of dangers unknown, while the old antenna reaches into the void, searching for any new signal. The solar panel tirelessly gathers what little sunlight remains, keeping the broadcast alive. Through the speakers, bursts of static and faint, distorted messages occasionally break the silence—like a secret code for any survivors left to hear.

Legend says that this graveyard holds more than just the remains of the forgotten. On moonless nights, the ground stirs, and faint whispers fill the air, beckoning the curious to enter. Diana’s quick, inquisitive mind and bright spirit, quickly earned her a spot at the top of her class at the prestigious Astoria Academy of Science and Magic. It wasn’t long before whispers of her brilliance drew the interest of famed industrialists and members of the city’s elite, eagerly funding her projects to have a hand in the promise of future success.

The nights spent at her father’s old drafting table were long in that tiny, rented attic. Crumpled blueprints were in heaps at her feet, while others, containing usable ideas, pinned to the wall. Broken crystals hummed faintly with failed enchantments, laying beside metal pipes, gears and other machine parts while she worked her design to perfection.

The autocarriage was her greatest triumph, a marvel of modernity that revolutionized transportation in Astoria. It was a vehicle without the need for a driver, propelled by a system so elegant, with its blend of engineering and arcane energy, it seemed almost effortless. The success of her brilliant invention catapulted her into fame, and Diana Auclair soon became a household name. With her newfound wealth, she reclaimed her legacy, and moved back to Auclair Manor, restoring it to its former glory. Her father’s old drafting table now stood in its new home - a cozy, but elegant workshop.

But despite her success, Diana became something of a recluse, plunging herself into the realm of innovation once more, as she sought to create something far too precious. Something far too dangerous. Something… with a soul.

With a shotgun in hand and limited supplies, they fought off both the elements and the dangers lurking in the shadows.

Dirty Rat - Ironclad Refuge

This L-shaped concrete wall stands alone in a desolate post-apocalyptic world, a relic from times gone by. The face of the wall is worn and decaying, carrying old posters of missing persons, wanted criminals, and government propaganda—all faded images that tell a story of what once was.

This relic has behind it a rusted sea container that gives the slightest glimmer of hope. Once ferrying goods across vast oceans, it now acts as a makeshift shelter. Its steel exterior, hammered by time and the elements, somehow retains enough strength to stand up against the harsh reality outside.

Hidden behind this container is a wood palette, and on the wood palette there are some cardboard boxes. Inside these humbly outlooked containers rest the remnants of a life once lived now tied together for survival.

The container is a haven—a small fortress amidst ruins that protects its inhabitants from the brutal world lying outside.

Step inside the detective's dim office, and there, standing like a protector of secrets, you will see an oak file cabinet that looks weathered. Its half-open drawers expose cold case files and unsolved folders, mystery-laden.

On top of the cabinet, sitting at one corner, is a globe, showing places from afar, while on the other end is a potted plant, adding life to the surface. The surface is cluttered with wanted posters and case files alongside a row of well-worn books.

This filing cabinet does not just act as furniture but almost as a gateway to a world of intrigue that waits for the next clue to be uncovered.
