As some of you may know I attended a funeral, I usually write to help other people cope, well this is a time when I needed help coping. Let me tell you the lighter side of this weekend.
So I had a lot of anxiety going home after 21 plus years. I got off the plane with my heart heavy, full of anxiety, I needed help so I decided to ask a airport employee.
I walked up to her and I was sure she saw me because she I was face to face, but she continued to use her phone, and didn't acknowledge me WHATSOEVER. So I said to her..
Me - " Hello young lady "
She didn't say anything....
Me - " Is Gate 17 down this way "? ( pointing down the long highway, with hundreds of doors ).
Employee - ( talking to me not looking up from her phone ). " You gotta read the signs " .
Me - ( trying not to be annoyed ). " Ok soooo I gotta read the signs, ok am I...?
Employee - ( Cutting me off mid sentence ) " You need to read the signs they out thurr, so read em. " ( As she looks at her phone and continues to look at the phone. )
Me- " Ok have a good night". ( I'm thinking to myself welcome home. )
I get to the funeral and I told my family about the bad customer service. My cousin told me about HIS experience which made the day much funnier. He was working somewhere when he had a customer ask him a question.
Customer - " Aye man let me get a discount on the TV ."
Cousin - " I can't get you that discount".
Customer - " You can't give me a discount" ? Just gimme the discount man ".
Cousin - " I can't do it ".
Customer - Okay what time you get off? I'm gon wait for you in the parking lot."
Cousin- " I get off at such and such time in the morning, if you wanna wait all that time... go ahead, but you STILL can't get that discount."
This story was sooooo funny and I could relate. The Bible says we should carry each others burdens, as in Romans 15 1:2. I needed this and it was so helpful to see my family, and read all the comments ya'll gave my family. That is what carrying burdens looks like. Thank you much everone!
