On Comedy:

Humour is subjective. If you don't find someone funny and you're in the minority, you may think the people who find something funny are...weird.

But in fact Everyone is funny to someone.

You just have to find your crew 😊

About two years ago, I met a girl at Msuli complex in Blantyre. She came to our car selling kaunjika boxers and shirts.

"I will be starting first year at Mzuzu University and I am trying to raise funds for transport and other needs." A part of me didn't believe her that day even if we bought T shirts from her.

Yesterday evening my team and I went to Mzuzu University to meet with her. She is now in third year and she has been surviving by doing business during holidays.

This is Rashina Samalani. Rashina comes from a poor family and lives with her grandmother in Bangwe. To survive they have hustle every day. Yesterday she told me her sad yet inspiring story. She is in University now for one reason: because she wants to break the chain of poverty in her family.

I am so in inspired by her determination. I gave her MK100,000 to encourage her because this one must be supported. Fortune favours the brave and I believe this girl is favoured.

If anyone would like to support Rashina or buy from her when she is back in Blantyre from Friday for the holidays, please reach out to me!

It tastes good and it also looks very appealing.

AMalawi maybe we're missing a trick? Maybe helping our companies export is what Government of Malawi should focus on more? Maybe this is the way out of oir forex nightmares? We think so...
Sappe, the company which makes these drinks say that 82% of revenues are down to international sales. Think about that for a moment, 82%! That's huge! “SCHOOL DAYS”: NDEMANGA ZANGA 💡

The scenes were nice and short. To the point but powerful and representative of a lot of people’s reality during their school days. It’s packed with lessons and reenactments of what people went through and going through during their school days.

How best can we equip our children to deal with bullies, how do we make sure our children do not become bullies, how do we keep teachers in check and what controls can be put in place to make sure schools are safer and conducive for learning? Some of the questions the movie is challenging us with.

It’s also an opportunity for us to do a reflection of our education system. The majority of young Malawians go through the depictions of this movie. What can we do to make the school days experience better? Future Presidents, Leaders, change makers and game changers of Malawi are going through this education system every year.

All in all, this is a beautiful and powerful work of realism art. Job well done by all; the creative team, the production team and the acting team. The music, the editing, the coloring, the sound effects and locations all on point.

Bravo!!! Kudos!!! Très bien!!! Very Good Very Good!

One way to solve our forex problems in is we need to export more locally made goods(including those with Value Added), & we need to import less of the things we can grow and manufacture within the country. There are no shortcuts to this principle.
There are other things we should do, but that is a low hanging fruit.

Our Manifesto - What Stands for:

1. We Love and want to thrive in their country, and on the global scene in the same way that most citizens of countries like Malaysia, Canada, Norway and Australia are thriving and have opportunities available to them.
2. We want , , , , and to be eradicated from .
3. We stand for , and the Rule of Law for all.
4. We want to see a functional that legislates Laws that will (i) Safeguard our natural resources & biodiversity, (ii) Ensure fair terms with investors are standard in investment agreements, (iii) Improve the quality of life for ALL , including for the Youth, Women and Children, and (iv) Ensure there is continuity of national projects irrespective of which party is in power(and that there are stiff penalties for discontinuance of national projects).
5. We want to see the of Malawi to take on the role of 'Destiny Helper' to help it's with diplomatic assistance, and other help so that can become high achievers & productive wherever they may be across the world. This means having enlightened diplomats at diplomatic missions, and delivering service that goes beyond the normal diplomatic service, and which helps citizens create opportunities for Malawians in the motherland.
6. We believe in and , and support initiatives where work collaboratively and come together to support causes which matter to . Whether you like it or not, working together is one sure way a country like ours can make meaningful progress on the global scene.
7. We believe in Transparency and Open Government where all important meetings & interactions between top public officials and third parties are open and transparent.
8. We believe the financial affairs of ALL public officials and their family members should be audited annually to safeguard against unexplainable wealth accumulation by public officials. This rule needs to be enforced religiously to protect the country's resources.
9. We believe in Good governance, and checks and balances to ensure that the public purse is used only for purposes that advance national interests, and not for private gain. It never serves the country if each leader who comes to the presidency enriches their family.
10. We believe in whistle blowers, and an independent whistle blower hotline whose staff collaborate with Malawi's Anti Corruption Bureau, and the office of the Ombudsman, to help safeguard the interests of the public against powerful interests. As much as some people may dislike this, it's important in any democracy to ensure there's no abuse of office in government.
11. We believe the World needs to understand that being born in a deprived part of the World is not a choice anyone makes, and so we can't be expected to blindly accept the choices of our leaders and international institutions, when such don't align with our national imperatives.
12. We believe in financial freedom for all . There are billions being exchanged and invested in , in war machineries and into standing armies; so why is it hard for a tiny portion of such resources to be used to create true global parity (this excludes paying International NGOS) in deprived areas?
13. We and millions of other do not expect a rich country to have weak power infrastructure... when reliable power is necessary for any economy to grow, and thrive. This problem needs an immediate solution.

We are .

We represent the wishes and hopes of across the world.

On 22 December, one of my top fans wrote me a message. "Pemphero Mphande, my wife and I are huge fans of your work. We would love to invite you to our home for dinner any day before 27 December." Naturally, when you receive a message like this the first thing you do is to stalk them and see who they are.

I did this. The pic on this man's profile is his wedding picture posted in 2014 and a few other photos that made me think, "oh, he is not that well to do."

However, after scrolling through our chat on Facebook i noticed that he has been donating to different causes since 2021. And so I wrote to him and said, "it will be my honour to dine with your family on the evening of 26th December."

So on 26th December I arrived at their house in Chileka. It was the gate that caught my attention at first. The gate opened with a remote. I thought, "am I lost?"

The house didn't look like the house of the man who I stalked on Facebook. But no, it was his house. His wife and he were waiting for me on the parking lot. Next to them was a Range Rover, Ford Ranger, Mercedes Benz and a Toyota Allion. I couldn't believe it.

They led me into the house. When i stepped in, i could tell I was in the house of a wealthy man. The smell, the fabric, the ambience and the furniture screamed wealth.

He shook my hand humbly and said, "thank you for honoring us." At the table we were joining by his daughters and son. Very humble children too.

When we began to chat its when I realised that I know his company. His company gave me a marketing deal with 1.5 million Kwacha two years ago but I dealt with his marketing team. He said to me, "it was my wife who said give this deal to Pemphero." This is a multi billion Kwacha business.

When I was leaving his wife jokingly said, "Paja Pemphero umakonda Whiskey or Brandy?"

"Brandy!" I said.

She gave me a bundle of money and said, "this is for your Brandy!"

When I counted it later on, it was MK500,000. I couldn't believe it. Their generosity moved me but what moved me more was their humility.

How is it possible that people could be so rich and they don't brag about it? They don't post their cars, houses and expensive lifestyle on social media. Tikanakhala enafe sibwenzi mukupuma tu-daily Facebook live in a different car and room of the house!

I learnt a big lesson about humility and that you don't need to brag. Instead, be grateful to God and share your blessings with others. I also learnt a big lesson about respecting everyone regardless of how they look. I hope you too learn to be humble and to respect everyone!

- P. Mphande

needs 3 or 4 internationally recognised sporting events which people from all over the world can come to to attend. We don't even have to be the originator of such, we can just partner with the governing entity and host it.
Everything about it must be purpose built, from the athletes accommodation, the facilities, food and drink outlets, restaurants and even some recreational facilities. See the following posts and pictures for more information, and to understand exactly what we mean. It would help our small economy...

We used to map interrelationships between various factors that are important for economic development:

"Draw me an chart from historical data showing the interrelationships between Foreign Direct Investment, Good Governance, Youth investment, High Quality Education, Affordable Healthcare, Social Services, Property Laws and Efficient Resource Allocation as key to Economic Development of a country."

Below is what it produced. Note how in 2020, there are some clear reductions, including a negative (-) on the growth GDP, which can be explained by Covid-19. We're still trying to figure out what it all means 🙂

I will propose that the correct written form of kutsonya in Chichewa is "Mxcïeü" . The i has a double umlaut & the u too has a double umlaut. take note. Chichewa linguistics in future should use that nomenclature. The Chichewa dictionary too should use that. 1/2
