The Citizens’ Voice

Striking employees of the Wilkes-Barre Publishing Company, which published the Times Leader, started The Citizens’ Voice in 1978. The Citizens’ Voice added the Sunday edition in 1993 after the closure of the Sunday Independent.

Times-Shamrock Communications bought The Citizens’ Voice almost 17 years ago.
