Yesterday, I had my first virtual meeting after 14 days of isolation..

I was asymptomatic when I was tested positive (via Antigen Swab). With mild cold when tested positive thru RTPCR

Ngayon, balik normal na ang pisikal na katawan. Balik trabaho na ulit. MALAYA NA ulit from isolation.

Pero, HINDI PA RIN TAYO MALAYA sa pandemyang ito. Hindi natin alam, kung hanggang kailan pa tayo nasa ganitong sitwasyon

Next year, ELEKSYON na ulit. Huwag sayangin ang pagkakataon na mag-halal ng mga lider, -- national, provincial, congressional, at local -- na sa inyong palagay ay LUBOS NA MAKATUTULONG sa atin, na gamitin ang TAX ng mga mamayan para sa ikabubuti ng nakararami!

Kung ikaw o may kakilala kang hindi pa registrado, MAGPA-REGISTRO NA!

Vaccinated, yet got infected

Sa oras n nalaman ko na close contact ako sa potential infected friend, nag-ISOLATE agad ako.
(Wala akong naramdaman na kahit anong symptom)

August 1, I was tested positive thru Antigen Swab
August 2, confirmed thru RT-PCR, carrier na nga ako ng virus (thru LGUs Health Dept.)
Contact tracer from DILG called me and nagkaroon ng ACTIVE COORDINATION. Naidentify ang mga close contact ko sa bahay.

Thankful na wala akong lagnat at hindi nahirapan huminga. Tanging sipon lang ang nararamdaman ko on 5th day from last exposure. Tuloy pa rin ang HEALTH MONITORING. pag-take ng vitamins, hot tea, fruits, atbp. (Kinaya pag magsetup ng immune boosters, o db?) 😅

Mahirap ma-isolate, as of this moment, 4th day of isolation. Nakakalungkot, lalo na potential na nahawahan ko si Tatay at Inang. Praise God! They turned out NEGATIVE sa test na ginawa ng Teresa RHU!
Vaccinated n si Tatay, si Inang, waiting for 2nd dose ng AZ.

Green Area = CONFLICT AREA

Where bicycle and automobiles/motorized vehicles (RIGHT TURNING at intersections, accessing to/from driveways) are in conflict. Thus, BOTH CYCLISTS and Motorized Vehicles shall beware and SHARE THE ROAD

But there are spots, even not on intersection approach and driveways, due to limited space, Motorized Vehicles and Bicycles are in conflict which shall be part of the guidelines

Conflict between Motorcycle and Bicycle on the BIKE LANES

As I cycle to work in the metro, I am glad seeing how FACILITIES for the Active Transportation are developing in the country.
Official guidelines are being developed/published. However, I have observed a lot of issues that are in need to address to furthere ensure the safety of cyclists and other road-users. These are:
1. Most of the features of extg road sections are not suitable to apply the IDEAL provisions of the official design guidelines due to space limitations (e.g. outermost lane, with bike lane provision occupying the same space for motorized vehicle —> reduced effective lane width for motorized vehicle resulting to vehice-to-bicycle conflict)
2. Motorcycle facilities are still left behind even with increasing demand of MC traffic
3. motorcycles are tempted to utilize bike lane due to absence of facility —> compromising safety of cyclists
4. alignment / continuity of bike lanes are inconsistent in some sections
5. Depressed manholes on the bicycle path/lane affecting safety resulting to lane change from bike lane to motorized lane

Proposed solution for issues 1,2&3:

Convert the remaining space on LANE 3 to MOTORCYCLE LANE (i.e Ortigas Ave in San Juan City)
1. Due to limitations of site characteristics, special provision shall be considered in the guidelines
2. Motorcycle Lane can be provided
3. Ensure safety of both MC and bicycle (other motorized vehicles)
Issues 4&5 can be addressed by improving the procedures in planning and design on this sections with issues
