This week, on Outlook, we discuss disability literature with the reviews of two books, involving fairy-tales and the story of a blind mechanic. He ain’t from texas but these are the kinds of milestones we should all celebrate,
It’s been almost a year since the podcast launched.
My origin story posted November 15, 2019 with the first guest episode posting a few days later.
By the time the year mark rolls around, I’ll have 65 episodes published and I have the rest recorded through the end of the year.
There were many times I was ready to throw in the towel. It was too hard, I wasn’t getting the reach I wanted. But those centered around me.
When I looked outwardly and saw the connections I’d made, the people I’ve met(Thank you!), the stories they’ve shared, the people who tell me they like the podcast, it’s not about me.
So the question is, what should we do to celebrate the 1 year anniversary of the Hustle the Day Podcast? Drop a comment below. 👇
Hoping the fact that I’m a podcaster using a virtual event to grow my show’s audience wil make this post a good fit for the page. As podcasters we use many ways to attract new listeners. And we have to support each other. So, don’t hesitate to tag me on your audience growth initiatives too, Max
What does it mean to Hustle?
Max Ivey is someone who embodies that. He is blind and doesn’t let that excuse factor in at all. He’s traveled across the country solo, he’s run businesses, he’s written books, but he’s facing his biggest fear, singing in public!
In spite of his fear, he’s leaning into it and next week we’ll be doing a Live event where he sings and mixes it with motivational messages.
This Live event will happen on our YouTube page next Wednesday, October 21st, at 6pm EST/3pm PST.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions after the presentation, but Max is excited to finally be able to do this after 3.5 years of thinking about it.
We tested the platform today in front of a small audience and we’ll be ready for you to hear this next week! The link to the YouTube Live is in my bio where you can set a reminder for it.
In the meantime, get out there and
As the leader of the chapter I figure letting y’all see me do something that brings me pleasure but that also scares me can’t hurt. And this is the kind of thing that can make you stand out especially if you can find a way to mix it into your show. Hope to see y’all there, Max
