𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗦| 𝗦𝗔𝗙𝗘𝗧𝗬 𝗜𝗦 𝗔 𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗬. To ensure that both students and teachers are prepared in the event of an earthquake, a surprise earthquake drill was conducted this morning, June 19, 2025, at Kabasalan Science and Technology High School (KSTHS). Following the drill, students gathered at the school's covered court to receive important insights on how the drill was carried out, as well as information shared by Mr. Robert Caliora III, the KSTHS Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Coordinator, regarding the importance of earthquake preparedness.

Classrooms are once again filled with laughter and friends. It was a fun time at KSTHS as friends meet up once again, new faces stroll about, and a welcoming program that was all throughout. So much happened—did you get to take pictures? No worries if you didn’t, because we’ve got you covered! We captured not only photos but also videos of the event. Come and relive the excitement of KSTHS’s back to school day!

𝗞𝗦𝗧𝗛𝗦 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗦.𝗬. 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 ‘𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹’ 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺

“Let’s rock and roll, School Year 2025–2026!”

These were the words of School Principal Dr. April Joy B. Solino as the much-awaited first day of classes at Kabasalan Science and Technology High School (KSTHS) officially began on June 16.

Students, together with the school’s faculty and staff, gathered at the KSTHS covered court to welcome the school year 2025-2026 with a “Back to School” program organized by the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG).

The program featured a series of activities designed to foster student engagement and create a welcoming environment for both learners and educators.

Following the Flag Raising Ceremony, the Indayog Performing Arts (IPA) opened the event with a dance performance to energize the audience. This was followed by the presentation of the official school uniforms for male and female students in both junior and senior high school.

SSLG Adviser Mr. Rolly Cabanero then introduced the newly elected SSLG officers. After this, the class advisers from Grades 7 to 12 were introduced to the student body.

The program also included the awarding of the first five students who arrived early, in recognition of their punctuality on the first day of classes.

To conclude the event, a community dance led by IPA was held, with students and teachers participating actively to energize themselves for the start of the school year.

"𝙂𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙤'𝙨 𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙠? 𝘽𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙞𝙣"

After 2 months of hibernating like a bear and binge-watching K-dramas, it's finally time to return to reality. 𝑾𝒆𝒍𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍, 𝑺𝒄𝒊𝒕𝒆𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒔! It's time to return to the campus and learn.

June 16 isn't just a regular Monday—it's the grand reboot of another school year. Another school year where students scramble to find where their classrooms are or where they will sit—hoping it's near the electric fan, of course. Where we wave awkwardly at people we think we know and silently pray that our teachers go easy on us. "𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟𝐟,” we all say in unison!

The real magic, however, isn't in the classroom or the seat plan. It's in the energy—the electric sounds of students buzzing through the campus, with big dreams, weird sleep schedules, and way too many Google tabs open—hoping to study in advance. Let's all shake it off and breathe. The gates are open, so let's go in for another year of exciting journeys.

This year, we're not just walking back to school. We're walking with opportunity. An opportunity to change for the better. Whether you're walking with a clear goal or just hoping to survive throughout the day, one thing is certain, the choices we make now will shape the story we tell later.

This school year, let's choose growth over fear. If you're scared to do something then do it scared because that is how you grow. It won't always be easy. There will be days where we question ourselves "𝒌𝒂𝒚𝒂 𝒑𝒂 𝒏𝒂𝒌𝒐?" Of course! A scitechista never backs down! Remember that every decision we make is a step towards the future we hope to build for ourselves.

So, scitechistas, welcome back. This is your bagong bukas. Write your story. Own your choices. And like otlum said – 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭.

“𝐀𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐚…𝐍𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐢𝐲𝐨 𝐛𝐚? 𝐇𝐚?…𝐍𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐢𝐲𝐨 𝐛𝐚?”

With just 𝟐 𝐃𝐀𝐘𝐒 𝐋𝐄𝐅𝐓 before classes officially begin, we’re all feeling a whirlwind of emotions. Whether you're proudly saying “𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮, 𝙣𝙖𝙖 𝙣𝙖𝙠𝙤𝙮 𝙗𝙖𝙡𝙤𝙣” or still stuck on “𝙬𝙖𝙡𝙖 𝙥𝙖 𝙠𝙤 𝙠𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙖𝙜”, one thing is clear: school is back!

From “𝑶𝑴𝑶𝑶 𝑺𝑰 𝑪𝑹𝑼𝑺𝑯” sightings to the familiar “𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒚𝒐 𝒌𝒐𝒈 𝒑𝒂𝒑𝒆𝒍” cries, and even the classic “𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙪𝙡𝙤𝙙 𝙠𝙤 𝙣𝙜𝙖 𝙬𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙮 𝙗𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙥𝙚𝙣 𝙪𝙜 𝙥𝙖𝙥𝙚𝙡” jokes, the atmosphere is shifting. The school halls are calling.

Some of us are calm with “𝙤𝙠𝙨 𝙧𝙖, 𝙄’𝙢 𝙖 𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙜𝙪𝙮,” others are nervous but determined with “𝙠𝙪𝙡𝙗𝙖, 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙤 𝙠𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣𝙤𝙣,” and a few are still processing everything with “𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙣𝙖 𝙟𝙪𝙙 𝙣𝙞?!” Whether we’re ready or not, we’re stepping into another round of academic survival.

2 days until reality hits. So buckle up, pack that bag, and don't forget your ballpen. Prepare yourself for another season of academic survival. Ready or not, here we go!

“𝗦𝗔 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗟𝗨𝗟𝗨𝗣𝗜𝗚, ‘𝗗𝗜 𝗞𝗔 𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗜𝗟” 🇵🇭

Today, we commemorate the 127th anniversary of Philippine Independence, an event that signaled the end of over 333 years of Spanish colonial rule.

On June 12, 1898, General Emilio Aguinaldo proclaimed the independence of the Philippines from the window of his home in Kawit, Cavite. The Philippine flag was formally unfurled, and Marcha Nacional Filipina, now known as Lupang Hinirang, was played for the first time. This historic event marked the beginning of our identity as a sovereign nation.

We must honor the bravery of the revolutionaries who made this milestone possible. However, independence is not merely a celebration of the past, it is also a continuing responsibility to uphold the values of democracy, justice, and unity.

𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗦 | 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗘𝗙𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗧. Demonstrating the power of collective action, Kabasalan Science and Technology High School officially launched Brigada Eskwela 2025 on June 9, bringing together parents, students, teachers, and volunteers from various sectors of the community. The event involved the cleaning and rehabilitation of the school campus, aimed at promoting a safe and conducive learning environment for the upcoming school year.

In line with the theme “Brigada Eskwela: Sama-sama Para sa Bayang Bumabasa,” the event also featured a reading activity designed to evaluate the reading proficiency of students from Grades 7 to 12.

📢 ANNOUNCEMENT | SSC & STEM Admission Results Are Out!

Good day, everyone!

We are thrilled to announce the list of successful applicants who qualified for the Special Science Curriculum (SSC) for Grade 7 and the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) strand for Grade 11.

The admission process was based on the following criteria according to DepEd Zamboanga Sibugay Division Guidelines:
📌 General Average – 50%
📌 Admission Test – 30%
📌 Interview – 20%

Students who garnered a total score of 80% and above have been accepted into the program.
