Princess Irulan from Dune 2 ✨

I’m hard at work on my Rhaenyra build and was thinking about how different of a project it is from the beast that was this metal Princess Irulan dress 😵‍💫 if you were here for that saga, I spent probably 100 hours cutting each and every one of these little diamonds out of metal mesh. I genuinely thought it would never end 😂 I still have so many little pieces of metal in my carpet a year later.

So glad to have these photos from to immortalize this costume. We took these at dragon con and it was SO hot outside. The sweat was making the metal stick to my skin and I had to completely cool down in the room before I could even get this dress off my body 😅

Probably not one that will return to a con any time soon

Consider this my visual resume to be the personality hire at your next event 😂

We got photos back from the fantasy fête that took place this November and it was such a great evening 😭 there was an art market, a d&d one shot, a scavenger hunt, themed drinks, music, friendship, and so much more 🥹

I will also be attending the Kingdom Celebration this April where they’re going all out to provide an immersive larp-adjacent weekend that will end in an in-universe ball. You can find all the details on and I really hope so see you there!

For my last post of the 2024 I thought it would be fun to share some character vs cosplay side by sides from this year!

I saw and sharing theirs and they were all so amazing that it inspired me to try it out. Usually side by sides make me really anxious because I find myself hyper-fixating on the details that I didn’t get quite right and all of the differences just stick out like a sore thumb.
But instead I’m trying to embrace the imperfections and appreciate that the costumes I make all by myself often take a village to achieve on screen. Or accepting that I have creative freedom when working with real world materials when bringing to life a costume from animation.

2025 is for talking positively about ourselves and our work 🥰

Twas the knight before Christmas ✨

A photoshoot from a few years ago but I love the concept of festive knights 🥰 I am absolutely in the holiday spirit this year, the house is decorated, I’m making ginger bread cookies today, homemade presents are being shipped off, holiday movies are being watched, and more!
I’m trying to actually enjoy the season and not force myself to be productive for once 😅

One ring to rule them all and in the darkness bind them 🔥
Though my Sauron build isn’t new around here, it was one of the most epic and satisfying builds that I did this year! Mostly posting this because all I have on my account are videos and sometimes it drives me crazy that I can’t just pull up a photo of my costumes without having to watch a whole thing 😂
But also I have LotR on the brain (big shock) and might binge the trilogy today while doing some Christmas decorating 🥰

This week I had the absolute honor to be invited by Warner Bros. and attend the world premiere of The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim in London and I’m still reeling from the experience 😭

Not only was every since content creator and organizer incredible to spend time with, but to have the opportunity to share space with the creators of this movie and the original Lord of the Rings trilogy was beyond my wildest dreams. If you would have told me when I was 10 years old that I would be in a photo with Peter Jackson I truly would not have believed you!!

I cried so many times this week just counting my lucky stars and cherishing every minute of it! I can’t say too much yet but the movie is AMAZING and I already can’t wait to see it again when it comes out on December 13th (hopefully that time with a few more hours of sleep under my belt 😂)

Additional bonus to meet the inspirational who was so lovely and sang the song that really is the heart of this movie! 🥹💛

Dancing bears painted wings ✨

I know im always in the mood for Anastasia but something about this time of year with the snow just makes me want to watch it again 🥰 I had high hopes of finishing my series of making every outfit from the movie by the end of this year but time is just flying by! I’m not sure I’ll be able to crank out the last two outfits by the end of December but probably early next year I’ll have them all done.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

New Princess Irulan photos just dropped!!! This is one of the most labor intensive cosplays I’ve ever made, truly cannot even begin to count the amount of hours I spent cutting out over 2,000 little metal diamonds 😅😅
You know if a costume is even vaguely chainmail adjacent I have to make it so I was immediately drawn to this beautiful dress Princess Irulan wears at the end of Dune 2. If any of you followed my struggle with this dress you know I had A LOT of issues with it 🥲 but when said she would take photos of it at dragon con if I fixed it up, I knew what needed to be done. This is an incredibly difficult garment to wear but it’s an honor to have it immortalized with Alex’s photography 💛

Thank you to everyone who followed along on the journey of making this outfit! Im super excited for the new Dune Prophecy show and all the new delicious outfits we’ll get to see from that 👀

It’s my birthday!!

Ya girl is 30 today 🥰 I feel like in media you often see turning 30 (especially for women) associated with a lot of existential dread and fear surrounded with losing youthfulness or value in society.
I am SO excited for 30 and what life has to bring for the next decade. I have never felt so confident, beautiful, creative, and MYSELF as I do right now. I honestly feel like my life is just getting started and my 20s were just the build up to figuring out who I am and what I want to do with my life.
So thank you all for being with me to this point! Remember that aging is a privilege and a beautiful thing to get to experience. I’m going into this decade thirty, flirty, and thriving ✨
