Cassie’s in TX for a week for the annual board meeting for RESCU Foundation, Inc. Last month she interviewed and landed a spot on the board of directors. This is the first official philanthropic position of her personal Work History (yes, even non-paid work is work) though she’s often donated my money, objects and time to various non profit endeavors through the years.
Our guest this week, Amanda Forde, is no stranger to helping. Her care is more animal based. She is the director of a parish operated animal shelter on the west shore of the Ponchatrain. Not only does she deal with dogs, cats, and the occasional gerbil, but she deals with alligators, nutria, and other swamp creatures!
This interview was the first time Cassie interviewed someone without having met them previously. They met at their mutual friend Melissa Shaw’s home for the interview, and it was as if they were long lost friends. Amanda was so easy to talk with!
Bonus content this week on Patreon/WorkHistory is an after-video chat with Amanda and Melissa in the kitchen talking about all sorts of fun topics. We hope you are able to check that out.
For now, check out Amanda’s Work History episode on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
