So yesterday I did something I haven’t been able to do in over 10 years. Just over a year ago I wouldn’t have been able to fit in the chair nor would it have been able to support my weight. Don’t be fooled. Actions speak louder than words. I’ve gone through quite a lot recently and it has truly shown me who cares about me and who I can count on in times of need. It has been an eye opening experience. People that I thought cared about me and I thought I could count on have been nowhere in sight and radio silent. Yet, those who I barely know have stepped up and done more for me the past two weeks then I thought possible. Whomever coined the phrase blood is thicker than water was a fool. If nothing, this has reinforced my belief that you can’t choose your relatives but you can definitely choose your family. ❤️💕

I lived 2 separate and distinct lives for 36 years. I never had the luxury of being passably “straight;” however, I never got to share my personal life with my loved ones either. Its been so freeing unapologetically living my truth these past two years. Never sacrifice your well being to make others feel better. Please remember that today is the best day to love yourself!
