INAAC / RICAA (Réseau international de création audiovisuelle autochtone) is a global alliance for co-creation, sharing of experiences and dissemination of Indigenous multimedia to affect social and societal change. d on August, 2, 2014 during the international symposium « When cinema builds bridges ». This event marked the 10th anniversary of Wapikoni with the objectives of maintaining the partnerships and connections created by the Wapikoni throughout the years. with various indigenous communities in and outside Canada. INAAC is a network that gathers Indigenous organizations and filmmakers as well as its allies. It aims at encouraging exchanges on various film training methodologies while developing collective projects between members and increasing the dissemination and visibility of their works. INAAC was created during the 10th anniversary of the Wapikoni Mobile with the aim of gathering organizations with which partnerships and links have been forged : Ficwallmapu, Video Nas Aldeias, Oyo de Agua, CEFREC, A2delante, Power of the Lens, CHIRAPAQ, Instituto Catitu, ImagiNative, De la Plume à l’écran, Oxfam Québec, Elizabeth Weatherford / Smithsonian Museum, the GIRA, young filmmakers from the Wapikoni collective (Marie-Pier Ottawa ,Kevin Papatie) and filmmaker mentors (François Laurent, Frederic Julien). Upon its foundation, a common theme for a collective film was chosen : Territory along with appropriation and revitalisation of a cultural practice as a sub-theme. In 2018, Women was the chosen theme. The logo was created and designed by Sipi Flamand, young Indigenous Atikamekw leader, militant and activist from Manawan.
