TREES FOR BEES: A Reforestation Project

Students Environmental Alliance of Davao (SEAD) continue their commitment to restore forest habitats as they launch “Trees For Bees: A Reforestation Project”, which aims to assist the farmers’ cooperative that protects Mantunao Eco Park in Cateel Davao Oriental.

The environmental group seeks to help the farmers’ cooperative by opening a donation drive to raise funds for the restoration of the pollinators.

According to SEAD, pollinators such as bees, birds and bats are important as they sustain our ecosystem and without them, there would be less of today’s food that we eat.

In order for this project to continue, SEAD calls for a P100 donation from the community to fund the maintenance of these pollinators and to further support the farmers assigned to these areas.

SEAD also offers assistance for volunteers who would like to do a tree planting activity in Mantunao Eco Park.
