Our community formed for women in Cyprus to share experiences and provide support to one another. We seek to educate women about the diverse opportunities availa

ble in the tech industry and provide them with the necessary information and support to succeed. As a branch organization of Riga TechGirls, the Cyber Sisters is part of a larger network of women-focused tech communities. Riga TechGirls is a non-profit organization based in Latvia that empowers and educates women in tech.

Are you ready to jumpstart your tech journey? Our mentorship program offers a variety of fields to explore, and our upcoming post will feature a snapshot of the diverse mentoring areas available. From UX/UI Design to Cybersecurity, find your perfect match!

Here’s how it works (FAQ)

1️⃣ Meeting Formats - Flexibility is Key
Mentees and mentors can choose to meet online or offline, depending on their locations and convenience. If you're both in the same area, why not have a face-to-face session?

2️⃣ Frequency & Duration of Meetings
We recommend meeting at least once a week for a minimum of 30 minutes. Regular interactions are crucial for building a strong mentor-mentee relationship and ensuring continuous progress.

3️⃣ Setting Goals & Style
The first meeting in January is all about setting the tone. Mentors and mentees will align on goals, mentoring styles, and expectations. This is where you tailor your mentorship journey to fit your needs and aspirations.

4️⃣ Mentorship Customization
The program is as dynamic as you make it. Whether it's applying knowledge in practical scenarios, delving into articles in your spare time, or working on specific skill sets - it's about what works best for you.

5️⃣Commitment & Possibilities
Your energy and time commitment, along with your mentorship goals, will shape the program. It's about finding that sweet spot where learning meets practical application.

6️⃣ Local and Global Reach
While we encourage mentors to prioritize local women from Cyprus, our program is not limited by geography. We believe in the power of diverse perspectives and experiences!

Aspiring women in tech, your time is now! The Cyber Sisters 'Sistership' Mentorship Program is calling for mentees who are eager to dive deep into the world of IT and tech. Embark on a 3-month journey of learning, growth, and empowerment with our 32 passioned mentors!

🌟 What you need to do as a mentee?

1. Look at mentors table https://shorturl.at/cewFY , note to yourself couple of them you are willing to apply to.

2. Fill in Mentees application form here https://forms.gle/Wv4kumZFPp5Q6y6u7 picking your primary and secondary choice mentors.

3. Wait for a letter from us*! If you mentor will confirm mentorship with you - you will recieve a notice from us, and ways how to connect with a mentor to get to know eachother.

4. Wait for January kick-off event invitation for fantastic Sistership journey to start!

* Unfortunately we can’t guarantee that all mentors will get mentees, and that all mentees will get mentors, but we will try hard to make it happen! We will notify you in any case!

Mentors will review applications and select mentees by the end of December.
