New parts unpacked from the delayed box and the gear parts that have been piling up in Maud. Had to buy a portable tent so that we can work protected. First step is getting the block clean and painted. Looking at the beginning of summer (or earlier 😬) to have her running. .

Today was a big day!! Picked up the parts that have been sitting in a Denver warehouse since November. This a turning point for rebuilding Maud. More to come. Big thanks to Mike at for helping us get the parts and helping finding them 😂😂 .

It’s been a bit since posting due to getting COVID!! Nearing the end of my quarantine. But on the bright side, more parts arrived yesterday 😂😂 Bonnet checker plate, pretty hinges for all doors and an gravity fed expansion tank!! Still waiting on all the engine bits. But I continue to grow in excitement for how in shape Maud will be when all is done. .

The reason Maud’s rebuild is taking so long, is that I have to balance out the days between a major home conversion and her. Today was rebuilding a bathroom. Our plumbing is so loud, so I thought I would try Maud’s sound proofing materiel along with insulation. Has anyone used for plumbing? @ Pine, Colorado

New coolant reservoir by arrived. It’s so pretty. As I think about Maud’s adventures to come, I can’t help making sure she’s good to with great parts. More to come. .

Found a better share of red for the valve cover and air filter. Slightly brighter red then the previous one. It’s hard to see the difference, but the first shade was more tractor red with an orange tint. Sunrise Red feels better. .

The junk in the oil pan was reflective of the bad bearing. Now back to hot tanking. Let’s get Maud clean. Also a big parts order is about to be placed thanks to Mike .

Back at it with Maud. Got the engine 90% stripped. And found out that valve #4 (the one that wasn’t firing) is jacked up. One pic is of the half a bearing that was pretty much melted into a new shape, which wore out that part of the crankshaft. So it’s a new one for Maud. I learned a ton today thanks as always to for all the help and teaching. .

Good news today. Been running on 3 cylinders, so when the oil got low, the knocking happened. No signs of damage, just dirty. A full rebuild is happening plus replacing a few key bits while the engine is out. Happy day today! .
