The Glass Fire broke out early Sunday morning, near Deer Park in Napa county. Two other fires sparked up shortly after and merged together, pushing south towards the east part of Santa Rosa.

Unfortunately, some homes did burn south of Highway 12 in the Melita and Stonegate neighborhoods, as well as in the Skyhawk neighborhood of Santa Rosa.

The fire also remained active along Highway 128 and Silverado Trail N, between St Helena and Calistoga. Many famous landmarks and wineries burned here, and now tonight the town of Calistoga in under an evacuation order.

Approximately 36,000 acres have burned in Napa and Sonoma counties with zero containment as of Monday night.

Winds have died down, and with the Red Flag warning expired, conditions will be better for firefighters to get a handle on the blaze.

On September 27, 2020 the Zogg Fire burned south from Zogg Mine Rd down to the communities of Igo and Ono in Shasta County.

These communities are to the southwest of Redding and were under evacuations warnings two years prior when the Carr Fire tore through Shasta County.

The fire crossed Platina Rd, destroying many homes near Ono and continuing south towards Highway 36.

The fire has been more active at the heel of the fire, with aircraft doing drops to prevent further destruction of property.

The fire is now currently 15,000 acres according to CAL FIRE Shasta-Trinity Unit with no containment mentioned.

According to CalFire, as of August 21st 9:38 p.m., the LNU Lightning Complex Fire has consumed 302,388 acres, in five counties, and is now fifteen (15) percent contained.

CalFire sources state “Significant fire growth is expected throughout the rest of the operational period. Extreme fire behavior with short- and long-range spotting are continuing to challenge firefighting efforts. Fires continue to make runs in multiple directions and impacting multiple communities. Multiple fires have merged on the north side of Lake Berryessa into the Hennessey Fire, and continue to actively burn with critical spreads and is moving into large areas of timber”

There are still many evacuations in place and too many to number on this post. Please refer to www.fire.gov.ca for up-to-date evacuation information.

So far 480 structures have been destroyed and another 125 damaged. There have been four injured reported by fire personnel and civilians. There are four confirmed fatalities.

There are 13 crews assigned to the fire comprising of more than 1,429 personnel. There are 11 helicopters, 194 engines, 36 dozers and 36 water tenders assigned to this fire as well.

A PSN Journalist was able to meet up with West Sacramento Brush 42 just north of Guinda, in the Capay Valley. They were part of a small task force assigned to help keep the fire from coming further down into the valley. Earlier in the afternoon a dozer and hand crew started back fires to help get control of the fire that came dangerously close to the small town of Guinda and many ranches along the hills and mountains.

This fire is still very fluid, and information is changing rapidly concerning the speed and spread of the fire.

The fire stopped short of Winters and Allendale but caused damage to property in the area of English Hills Rd. The complex has burned more than 46,000 acres combined as of now.

As of a few hours ago, the fire has jumped Interstate 80 between Vacaville and Fairfield and is threatening the neighborhood of Paradise Estates. All residents here have been ordered to evacuate and traffic is at a stand still.

This is just one of several fire burning around Lake Berryessa called the LNU Lightning Complex. Structures have also been destroyed along Steele Canyon Rd off Highway 128, and in the Spanish Flat area, off Knoxville Rd.

Note the pictures below are from the Hennessy Fire, mostly around Highway 128 from overnight.
