My ideal business does NOT require me to be chained to my desktop or phone all day every day just so I can sign clients.

And I know without talkin' to you that you're like "same girl same"

So when I was spending the summer inside on my computer instead of living my wealthy girl life out on a boat...I knew something needed to change.

I left the corporate world cos I was tired of working my ass off to make someone else's dreams happen.

When I got tired of feeling like a BROKE AF BITCH, I asked myself...what would WEALTHY AF Alicia be doing? How would she be living?

I imagined a simple life...one where I had my own home, I had my dream garden, I worked with dream clients, I didn't have to worry about how much groceries costs, date nights could be fancy af (like going to the fancy af sushi place instead of the run of the mill might get sick sushi place) and I just wanted to feel *bliss.

And I took action...I told myself no more.

The moment I stopped building my content around content pillars...is the moment creating my content because A LOT easier for me.

I'm not saying creating pillars or content buckets is completely trash BUT it can feel limiting...especially to online service providers.

Instead of the four basic pillars you know the "educate, engage, inspire, convert" --- I plan my content around the buyers journey....I plan my content around my buyer types.

I know I need to produce content that builds authority / trust.

I know I need to create content that brings awareness around my offers.

I know I need to create content that actually drives sales.

And because I know the buyers journey...I am able to seamlessly do this without feeling like "OH S**T TODAY I NEED AN EDU POST" insert major cringe

One of my biggest fears going into maternity leave was "what if, I fall out of love with my business and don't want to pick it back up after the 12-weeks"

Even though that is 100000% not even an option, it's a fear that I have had to over come and worked on for months before I went on leave.

And then my secondary fear was "what if my plan for mat leave doesn't go as planned"

As a Type A person...things not going as planned is truly a nightmare and Guess what...it didn't. 😬

I've had to alter my plans for mat leave and where I thought it might cause resentment towards my business, it's actually given me a new perspective of what business can look like.

As someone who is known for my crunch slow living lifestyle, I've taken that to a whole new level and I have been able to see I can still work about 5 hours a week while still supporting my clients and making the income I desire.

Now, is this my *new, new* absolutely not, ya girl has big plans and money goals for the fall so when I come back full-time and open up Ready, Set, Grow, I'll be taking calls again and working more hours during the week but I won't be in office for long blocks durning the day...with a new born it just won't be possible.

But hustling to make BIG F**K YESSS MONEY hasn't been the vibe for a long while and it sure won't be making a comeback anytime soon.

Instead, what will be more present is flexible office hours and working schedule. Limiting my client call days even more than I already do and making sure I still take time off for myself and to be a mom.

My business will fit into my lifestyle as it has for the last 30 days without changing my income.

If it's possible for me to pivot my plans, still enjoy maternity leave AND NOT lose income...it's possible for you to finally create the business that will support you and your lifestyle.

I haven't been actively working for the last 30 days 👀 and yet, I've made sure that I stay consistent while I'm offline enjoying baby snuggle and figuring out how to be a mom.

A year ago...I wouldn't have been able to do this.

I would have tried to batch content...but would have been afraid it wouldn't actually serve my clients or it wouldn't be relevant anymore.
