Let's cook Waterless Chicken Soup with Dipping Sauce | SARAPlicious version.

In this recipe, no water or stock is added. The liquid will come from the ingredients - Napa cabbage [ which releases a lot of moisture]; apples for the added sweetness; white onions [ which adds a natural juice also]. The water produced is just right for me - a rich and savory broth.

1. Layer the ingredients in a pot in this order - Napa cabbage, white onions, carrots, apples, ginger, salted whole chicken.
2. Cook under low heat for 1.5 to 2 hours until the chicken is tender and the vegetables have melted down into the broth.
3. Make the dipping sauce.
4. Serve all together with steamed rice. Enjoy!

Ep.6 SARAPlicious Eats @ Aida's Chicken Inasal Restaurant

SARAPlicious Eats is a journey to showcase the delicious, savory foods we eat at restaurants, food stalls, and kiosks.

My husband and I had lunch at Aida's Chicken Inasal Restaurant the other day. This was one of the Michelin-selected restaurants, meaning it has been recognized by the Michelin Guide inspectors for having good, high-quality food, but it has not yet received a Star or Bib Gourmand award.

We ate their signature dish of Pecho and Paa Inasal and ordered Pork Pata Kansi. All are savory and delicious! We will definitely come back again.

Let's cook Chili Con Carne with Seasoning Mix Recipe, another SARAPlicious version.

We published our first recipe for this dish six years ago. This time, we replaced some of the ingredients in the original version: we used fresh tomatoes, home-cooked red kidney beans, red onion, tomato sauce, bread crumbs, and grated cheese.

*Procedure:
1. Sauté garlic, onion, and tomatoes.
2. Add the lean ground beef. Season with salt, ground black pepper, chili flakes, and cayenne pepper.
3. Cover to brown the ground beef.
4. Add the tomato sauce and paste, beef cube, the seasoning mix [dissolved in a cup of water, and the home-cooked red kidney beans. Mix well.
5. To thicken the sauce, I put bread crumbs.
6. Lastly, add grated cheese. Give it a final mix, then turn off the heat.
7. Serve with nachos or steamed rice. Enjoy!

Let's make a classic dessert recipe of Dark Chocolate Brownies with Cashews | SARAPlicious version.

I've always known brownies this way - with cashews on top. This is very easy to bake. It can serve as a dessert, snack, or a giveaway for friends and family, especially on occasions.

*Procedure:
1. Heat the margarine with dark chocolate bars in the microwave, then mix.
2. Beat sugar and eggs with a mixer.
3. Combine the chocolate mixture, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix well.
4. Sift the dry ingredients - flour and cocoa powder. Add the chocolate chips.
5. Combine well with a spatula, but do not overmix.
6. Transfer into a baking pan and spread evenly. Put the cashews on top.
7. Bake at 200 C for 40-45 minutes.
8. Let it cool. Slice into squares. Enjoy!

Let's make Pork Sisig, SARAPlicious version.

It's been a while since we had pork. In this recipe, we used pork maskara instead of pork belly. The sauce mixture consists of liver spread [instead of chicken liver], onions, soy sauce, salt, pepper, and calamansi. Modern versions would add mayonnaise and liquid seasoning for creaminess and umami flavor.

2. Grill over a charcoal flame.
3. Chop into small pieces.

6. Pour the sisig mixture. Mix until well-coated.
7. Heat the sizzling plate. Add margarine.
8. Place the pork mixture and mix.
9. Garnish with green chilies and calamansi.
10. Serve with steamed rice and egg. Enjoy!
