Our Erasing the Margins summer internship program is now accepting applications for BIPOC book-lovers, 18+ years of age.

Our ETM program is designed to disrupt the narrative that we don’t belong. We place interns of color with BIPOC mentors for a summer of learning, collaboration, and skill-building. We know that unpaid internships exclude Folks of Color disproportionately from gaining entry-level experiences, so our interns are paid for their work. Since independently owned and operated businesses are cornerstones of their neighborhoods, we partner exclusively with them when selecting our host sites. The list of mentor sites for the 2024 cohort is as follows:

Books for Palestine (BFP) is an auction-based fundraising & awareness campaign within the book community to provide emergency relief financial aid for the ongoing crisis in Palestine, and to benefit organizations which look toward Palestine's future and the preservation of Palestinian rights, voices, and culture. Funds will be donated directly by the auction winners to their choice of three organizations, chosen in consultation with Palestinian organizers and activists:

We'll see you at the 103rd Annual Conference!!

The biggest thank you to everyone who has supported our fundraising campaign to attend our next conference. This is such a great opportunity for us and our authors and thanks to our supportive community we'll be able to go while also continuing the production of new titles for kids to enjoy and learn from.

We've officially fundraised a little more than half of the amount we anticipate needing and are ready to order our printed materials and exhibit displays! If you can support our campaign by a small amount or a share we would be eternally grateful!

And if you're a we hope to meet you there at BOOTH #234 to showcase communities from around the world through our powerful books and learning resources. Swipe for an example of what we've created for our newest book "Arthi's Bomma".

We've officially reserved our exhibitor booth for the conference and all thanks to 22 public and private supporters!

Having raised $1,920 towards our $5,000 goal, we are now close to booking our flights and are starting to prepare our 2024 catalog for printing!!

We truly could not do this without you, please keep on sharing so we can meet our goal and share our powerful books and resources with educators. As always, contribute if you can, even a little goes a long way 📚

We have always felt deeply connected to our joint mission as a company and are so proud of the work we do.

But being mothers to children who are growing up and currently in elementary school in the US, makes our mission feel more critical than ever.

And despite all the beautiful, inclusive children's literature being published, the statistics from just last year, makes our work feel that much more valuable.

Join and support our community and help us raise the money we need to attend our next conference. We're sharing powerful literature and learning resources with educators across the country to see curriculum become that much more inclusive and impactful.

It's what our children need and deserve.

🔗 LINK IN BIO to support our campaign to exhibit at the 103rd Annual Conference this December in Nashville.

We are so proud of the work we have done so far through and —the voices our books have amplified, the authors who've had a story to tell and the lives our books have touched in one way or another.

Now we're excited to continue our growth as a company expanding our offerings for educators. We're creating curriculum guides and supplementary materials that drive forward the messages in each of our books and make it easier to incorporate into a classroom.

Exhibiting at this conference will put our books and resources in front of Social Studies educators and curriculum developers and your contribution can help get us there so we can use the capital we have to create more books and learning tools.
