“For many years I have no clear direction in life, I got lost in a path I thought will lead me to comfort, I said yes to the things that broke me, I said no to the things that I regret ignoring. It was a messy ride with many dreadful mornings and sleepless nights. Then I realized, yes, it was a long bumpy road, but If I didn't experience all of these, I won't be able to find the right path, I will not know how tough I can be, and for sure I will be stuck in the version of me I want to outgrow. I'm still learning, I'm still on my way to discover my hidden potentials and I know there's still a lot to conquer, but now with more courage and openness I have earned, I'm ready to face the obstacles I will meet on this journey. Ang PhilID ay dinisenyo ayon sa mas moderno at mas mataas na seguridad para sa identity verification upang makaiwas sa forgery, fraud o identity theft. Mas mataas ang tsansa ng pandaraya o panghuhuwad sa mga tradisyonal na proseso katulad ng paggamit ng paper forms, photocopy ng ID at handwritten signature.
Bukod dito, ilan sa ating mga kababayan ay walang kakayahan magbigay ng handwritten signature kaya't ipinapalit dito ang paggamit ng thumbmark. Ito ay naisaalang-alang ng PhilSys kung kaya't ito ay mayroong online at offline methods para sa identity authentication tulad ng PhilID physical security features, QR code digital verification, biometric verification at SMS one-time password (OTP). Sa makabagong pamamaraang ito ay mas mapapadali ang visual inspection at authentication ng PhilID.

MAAARI mo nang gamitin ang iyong PhilID bilang valid proof of identity sa iyong mga transaksyon sa alinmang Revenue Offices ng Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).

Ayon sa RMC No. 79-2021 na inilabas ng BIR nitong 17 June 2021, inendorso ng ahensya ang pagtanggap ng PhilID bilang valid proof of identification para sa mga transaksyon sa mga revenue offices nito nationwide.

PAALALA SA PUBLIKO:

MARIING ipinapaalala ng PSA sa publiko na INGATAN ang inyong impormasyon at HUWAG i-post ang inyong PhilID, PhilSys Card Number (PCN) at PhilSys Number (PSN) sa social media.

Ito ay alinsunod sa DATA PRIVACY upang maiwasan maging biktima ng mga iligal na gawain katulad ng IDENTITY FRAUD o ang hindi awtorisadong paggamit ng nakalap na impormasyon.

Para sa mga transaksyon sa pribado o pampublikong sektor tulad ng mga bangko at government institutions, maaaring gamitin ang inyong PhilSys Card Number (PCN) kung hindi maipakita ang PhilID card. Ang PCN ay makikita sa inyong PhilID samantalang ang PSN ay makikita sa liham na nasa envelope na ipapadala ng PHLPost kasama ang PhilID.

PAALALA MULI na confidential ang PSN at HINDI DAPAT ibahagi sa publiko.

MULING hinihikayat ng Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) ang mga government agencies at private institutions na tanggapin ang PhilID bilang valid proof of identity para sa mga pampubliko at pampribadong transaksyon, alinsunod sa Republic Act No. 11055 o Philippine Identification System Act.

Noong May 29 ay naglabas na rin ng advisory (https://bit.ly/3fUeuPI) ang PSA ukol rito at sinuportahan naman ito ng iba pang ahensya: Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), PHLPost at Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) na naglabas rin ng magkakahiwalay na advisory.
