“It was literally only one request which was to edit the concert footage but for this one I wanted to go the extra mile. After working on the concert footage for this song, Steven, the editor who worked with me, and I wanted to go do a little extra so one of us had the idea for a lyric video and we started building on the concept of the “vintage look” that we had going on in the concert edit. “What if everything that had to do with this song was vintage?” I said. And we then threw around ideas and started building up to the record and the record player. I’m very visually oriented so I drew the images that came to me for what I wanted the video to look like and, spoiler warning, at the end it looked even better than I imagined it. The next thing to do was to get the green light and THANK GOD that was easy. Ok so that’s when the producer’s job started and I had to coordinate and execute everything. I grabbed a vinyl from my collection, borrowed a record player from a friend, and sat down with the designer to create the vinyl “cover”. It got tricky when getting the space in out studio because we had a camera test that day and I was only allocated a small section of the studio. I had my equipment list ready but it all went downhill cause all our cameras were being used for this previously mentioned camera test so I went with the A7RII on a DJI Movi and I had to adapt, but it came out pretty good.” - Dani
