- Working as a virtual assistant gives you a lot of freedom because you don't have to be in your home office to accomplish your job. In fact, you can work from almost any location! The decision to work as a freelancer/Virtual Assistant is a very personal one. If you're considering becoming a freelancer/VA, you might be wondering what the benefits and drawbacks of running a virtual assistant business are.

Working as a virtual assistant is not for everyone, just like any other job. Before you begin working as a virtual assistant, you should be aware of the disadvantages.

Take a look at what I personally consider as CONS below:

🔹 To Find Clients, You Must Work Hard.
- Finding the first paying client is the most difficult aspect of starting a business. This is true for many jobs, including working as a virtual assistant. As a new virtual assistant, you'll have to work extra hard to find your first clients, especially if you don't have any customer testimonials or an established portfolio. Unfortunately, even after you've established yourself as a pro, the need for that hustle never truly goes away. You'll still need to reach out to and pitch potential clients. After all, you don't make money if you don't work. The constant search for work can be exhausting, so keep that in mind as you consider this position.

🔹 Working from Home is Fraught with Distractions.
- Working from home is a dream come true for many people, but it is extremely difficult for others. It is never easy to work from home when you have children. You'll constantly feel a tug on your time and attention as you try to balance work and childcare responsibilities. Finding the motivation to resist these distractions and focus completely on work when you have the opportunity is not always easy, but it is critical for success.

🔹 Working as a Virtual Assistant Can Be An Isolating Experience.
- This type of job is often the most difficult for extroverts who require daily interaction with others. You might not have that as a virtual assistant. This can be a big change, and it's one to think about carefully if you're a people person who craves personal interaction. Simply think outside the box to see if there are other ways to get that important personal interaction.

🔹 There are No Benefits.
- You don't get perks like company-paid health insurance or a 500k plan when you manage your own firm as a freelancer. You also do not receive any paid vacation time or days off. You're free to take time off anytime you choose, but you'll need to figure out how to make up for missed wages when you're not working. In general, these issues aren't a major concern because many virtual assistants can earn significantly more money working from home than they could at their previous job.

🔹 Running a Business Involves a Lot of Moving Parts.
- You'll be a legitimate business owner as a freelance virtual assistant. This means you'll have to deal with things like paying taxes, invoicing clients, and other tedious bookkeeping duties. You must also keep track of all project management tasks, especially if you are working with multiple clients and have multiple deadlines. It is critical that you keep your books in order. If you're not used to it, it may take some getting used to.

First, lets define it:

A NICHE is a segment of a market on which you choose to concentrate your efforts.

Now, whats next?

Grab a cup of coffee, sit down and figure out what you like and dislike.

Here’s your guide:

💠 If you're just starting out, make a list of everything you know how to do and want to offer as services/products. If you already have a business, make a list of everything you're currently doing for clients/providing as a product.

💠 Now that you've made a list, cross off the items you're dreading working on.

💠 Now, using your smaller list, identify the items that take you the longest to complete. Determine which of these items are worth spending time learning how to be more efficient and productive, and which you want to skip for the time being.

You should have a much norrowed down list now of your main services/products that you can provide to your clients.

Once you've started, you can absolutely change this list. When you start working with customers, you'll notice what you dislike/enjoy and what kinds of services/products are in demand.

Nothing is set in stone, and you can change your mind at any time. However, defining your specialty and identifying your niche could be one of the most beneficial things you do for your freelancing career.

You can, for example, display everything in a list or grid view and adjust the line spacing to be comfortable, cozy, or compact. Decide how you want to view your Google Drive by experimenting with the settings until you're satisfied.

We spend a lot of time in front of the mirror just to make sure we appear good. That is something I understand. We want to make an impression. We want to be proud of ourselves and to be admired by others. We believe that dressing s*xily will help us stand out. Our desire for attention is satiated when we stand out in a crowd. We are praised for our efforts. We think of s*x as a quick way to feel important, yet true mattering is much more than sensual encounters. Being valued for virtuous, compassionate, and ethical behavior, as well as being loved by your partner despite a scarcely visible gluteus maximus, is part of what it means to matter.

My goal here is to cultivate a broader range of attractive qualities that go beyond physical attractiveness.
