Finally working on my "dark Alice" theme inside my garage. I was going to go with mannequin legs and actually have Alice coming down from the ceiling but I kind of like the skeleton idea better...we shall see where this goes 🤔

It's been such a tumultuous road..let us see what may be in store next

Cookies! Nom nom nom 😋

A few years ago while set up at a venue to sell my creations, I met a lovely lady with whom I had the pleasure of conversing with for no less than an hour (perhaps longer). She mentioned that she had not visited any other booths and had been immediately drawn to mine. It was a nice conversation about art and traveling and ideas for better monetizing what I had to offer. One thing she mentioned was that her and her adult daughter loved art with all of their heart and she recognized that I had the same spark. She said that God had ordained our meeting....we exchanged numbers and proceeded with our lives. Some time had passed and one day I heard that she was in need of prayer for her daughter who was fighting a health battle in the hospital. Here and there I would get updates on her daughters progress. One day she reached out to ask if I could create a welcome home banner to place on her garage for her dear daughter who would be coming home. The timing was not cohesive so I was unable to oblige however I was so glad that she was going to have her beloved Iris home finally. Some time passed and as life continued to life, I hadn't heard from her until recently when she reached out to invite me to a remembrance celebration and Born Day Anniversary 🥺... She would be having a late afternoon tea to celebrate Iris' love of butterflies and painted rocks. Each guest would have the opportunity to take a rock home with them from Iris' rock garden. We would also be gathering to celebrate her 71st solar return. I immediately knew I wanted to be present at this celebration. I absolutely did not want to attend empty handed, especially because she had asked if I had been busy crafting (which unfortunately the answer was a sad no). The days leading up to this afternoon tea have been crowded with physical pains, borderline depression, exhaustion, and just overall angst to be thoroughly present for life most days...and in my usual procrastination fashion, I waited until the last minut

I miss my shop...it was my happy space.
