Mrs. Schmidt worked tirelessly in many capacities, besides being our point of contact. She acted as a press and communication officer, global outreach and social media manager. Please bear in mind that we were working on a project of extreme sensitivity with no room for mistakes and were followed by millions of supporters and watched by billions from around the world. In our crusade for justice and respect, we were facing both the biggest sporting organization, The International Olympic Committee, as well as the families of the slain athletes still dealing with pain and grievance.
